I had two C-sections at Whittington Hospital, one in 2021 and the second in 2024, and I am incredibly grateful to all the staff. From the nurses to the doctors, midwives, and consultants, everyone was amazing. My wonderful midwife was always so attentive and helpful, ensuring I had extra scans and tests to make sure both me and the baby were doing well. She always listened to my concerns and never pressured me into anything. The diabetic nurse was also fantastic—so friendly, approachable, and supportive. The care I received during and after both C-sections was excellent. Nurses and midwives checked on us regularly, and the staff were incredibly kind and sweet. I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone at Whittington for their outstanding care!

I had my 3rd child at the Whittington and after 7 years, I was nervous. Upon arriving for my induction, my daughter had a Brady, which resulted in an emergency C-Section under GA. The quick acting of the staff; the surgeons, midwives, anaesthetist and the whole team was extraordinary. The way the staff looked after my daughter and I was amazing. The whole NICU team who were there for my daughter and Murray ward staff who went above and beyond for us, I am extremely grateful. Special thanks for the Recovery team who were very kind and considerate. It was such a vulnerable time for us and I cannot put into words how grateful we are. Thank you all.

Simply the best! I had a high risk pregnancy, my 4th baby I've had at the whittington. The team in the antenatal high risk clinic are exceptional! Jill, Julie, Michelle, Dr Rossi, Miss Tsoi, Dr Depoers and all the amazing Healthcare assistants and friendly caring ladies that work on reception are second to none and looked after me and my baby extremely well. My midwives and doctors went above and beyond with my care and o felt safe in their hands.
My c section went very smoothly and after care on labour ward and cellier ward was again exceptional. Dr Verona and her team and the amazing anesthetists who did my section were brilliant and again I felt safe. Unfortunately my baby had to receive some extra support in NICU but again the nurses and doctors were amazing.
Would definitely recommend my loved ones and friends maternity care here.
I live in hertfordshire and have chosen to have all my babies at the whittington, the maternity team here will always hold a special place in my heart.

I was very anxious about giving birth in the UK. I chose the Whittington Hospital for my special journey and everything was amazing tbh. We were so impressed with all the process prenatal, during labour and post-birth care and follow-up. I didn’t feel rushed to be discharged at all, quite the opposite, I and baby were looked after very well. Thank you to the team.

Me and my partner used the birth centre to have our baby. There was a midwife waiting for us when we arrived and I was quickly checked over before moving to the birthing room. The midwives I had attending to me were brilliant. I did need to go up to the labour ward but the doctors again there were kind and clear about what I needed to deliver my baby safely. I'm so thankful for them getting us through a slightly tricky birth.

We had an absolutely wonderful time here today at Whittington hospital's maternity ward. Sarah our midwife was brilliant. She was knowledgeable, friendly, very helpful, and above all very understanding. We were both very impressed. Our Stenographer too, was friendly and helpful. She was very professional, and explained in detail all our questions. Our ultrasound experience was wonderful. Irene the maternity ward receptionist was very helpful and made us both feel very welcome. I highly recommend Whittington hospital's maternity ward, and look forward to our upcoming appointment.

I have had the most amazing and blessed experience with this hospital. The midwifes, doctors and consultants were the best. First time pregnant and my journey has been the best. I felt cared, respected and remembered throughout. I had elective cesarean and I must say it has been the best, minimal after pain and cured fast. Stayed in hospital for 3 nights and the nurses, midwives and the food I was served was great. I was given my medication on time, me and my baby were cared for throughout. I'm definitely coming back for future baby.

I gave birth on the 18/04/2024 but before all this happened I had an appointment for an elective C/S but my water broke and I have to go to the hospital immediately but before I rang to the maternity triage and on my arrival everything was ready for me at the triage as my baby was breech I had to go to surgery immediately but before that the doctors double check by an US if the baby is still breech before rushing me to the operation theatre they did everything professionally and with care from pre-op till post-op then postnatal every professional was amazing….. The postnatal unit took good care of me and my baby until we got discharged. I would like to thank everyone for making the entire journey of giving birth enjoyable.
