Terrible, unprofessional service. It feels like they only hire people who know how to be rude both over the phone and in person. The receptionist, tahmina, and the “manager” salma (or a name starting with S) seem to back each other up without even hearing the patient’s side—maybe they’re related or have some other connection. I wish I could give zero stars; even one star is more than they deserve.

I never had such a bad experience with medical visits ever in my life. More specifically Dr Riaz was so rude when I went for my appointment. I had a problem with very dry skin which started to make me feel insecure, on previous appointment another doctor did prescribe me some medicines but i haven’t seen any improvement. So, I booked another appointment which happened to be with another Dr: Ms Riaz. During the visit she kept interrupting me stating that there is nothing else they can do and she kept repeating the same thing to me about keeping the skin moisturised. I tried to explain my concerns as I never had this type of skin problems and the Dr was almost scolding me with zero empathy. I am sorry, but if you choose this career the first skill you should have is Empathy and listening skills. Literally, the receptionist was more understanding than the doctor!

I left the gp upset and crying and no one who has health concerns should ever be talked to in this manner.

Very disappointed!

Went today to get my right foot checked as it was paining and the hospital told me to go to the gp and get a referral letter. When I went their I spoke to the receptionist which wasn’t bad but when I went to the Docter she checked my foot and said that their is nothing suggesting to get a X-ray and because their isn’t pain in some areas she said she can’t refer me a letter. To top it of her manners were no where to be seen and instead, started telling me to go to a therapist.
I had fainted and had to go the hospital and if I want to know what’s serious due to me fainting I want to get an X-ray, but she just tried to prove me wrong and kept on saying it’s not a bone pain so no. We had to then just leave with only a private hospital referral letter.

Birchdale road medical centre should really keep professional and kind helpful people not people who forget their manner and cannot be convenient with patients.

On the way out we took the Doctor’s name from the receptionists and the Doctor’s name was Dr khanam.

We had the same Docter for 2 different reasons at different times and she was rude in both.

I have been with this practice for many years and have always received excellent care. The receptionists and GPS are very caring and efficient whilst doing what must be challenging work at times I couldn’t complain about a thing & feel very fortunate and grateful to receive such a good service, usually delivered with a smile and good humor.
Thank you so much for delivering such a wonderful service
Well done NHS staff

The receptionist old lady behavior is too bad to the patient. Straightly they dont have the manners how to talk with the patients.

I got a call for the appointment and my wife goes there before one day of appointment to just confirm the appointment they said they don't have any GP practice record of us. The people who are sitting infornt to serve patient they are really not enough educated. So I must complain NHS for that with taking huge amount of insurance money they are providing this services.

I have been a patient at this GP for many years and have always received the best care. The reception and team are very helpful and I have never had to wait longer than a week for an appointment. I think these reviews are ridiculous and manufactured by people who don’t get their own way and don’t understand how the system works. The GP have always gone above and beyond for me in my 20 years of registration. The review below claiming a doctor is ‘fake’ because he/she is from Pakistan is racist and unacceptable for google to post! Please learn the laws of this country before posting such nonsense. Everyone is so quick to post the bad comments but cannot acknowledge anything positive.
