One of my favorite shops in London! They offer an astonishing variety of medicinal and culinary herbs you won’t find anywhere else, with most being organic and sold loose by weight.
The staff’s knowledge is outstanding, and every time I visit the shop I learn something new about the connection between food and well-being.

Can’t believe I’ve only just come in here today! Great selection, refills station and bulk station! Very well priced for most products and some that are a little expensive but it balances out. Great to know it exists and friendly staff.

Racist shop and I give them ZERO stars.

I went there today at 8.58am this morning. The shop opens at 9am. The front door shutter was partially closed. I saw a woman approach the door to open it but as she saw me through the shutters she turned around and walked away.

I could see that there were others in the shop but I waited patiently as the shop was soon open. I bent down and looked under the shutter and a lady started shouting and frowning with a face like thunder, wailing her arms at me shouting ‘just give us a minute, give us a minute!

I wouldn’t mind if I was being impatient but all I did was look under the shutter, I didn’t knock the door or draw any attention to myself.

She couldn’t even open the door for me at 9am she instructed her co worker to open the door who I have to admit was extremely polite and courteous and greeted me with ‘Good Morning’ as I entered. I returned his kind gesture and noticed the woman with a face like thunder beside me. I said ‘Good Morning’ to her and she could barely look at me as she grunted ‘good morning’. In fact she didn’t look at me, she continued ruffling boxes pretending to work and ignore me.

If I am honest I have never seen such rudeness and arrogance from a public serving customer service staff. I was in the shop ready to spend over £300 as I was travelling and needed 3 months worth of supplements but after the extremely rude and obnoxious staff member I bought a few essential items that I needed still close to £100 and left the shop.

During my time in the shop the extremely polite staff member apologised stating that it’s too early in the morning for her, she’s not a morning person. The poor guy looked clearly embarrassed by the behaviour of his coworker.
I was fuming while I purchased my goods and I made it pretty clear whilst there how rude she was, it clearly didn’t bother her as she heard everything I said and didn’t at one point turn around to apologise. I can only believe that she is a racist bigot and if she is not a morning person and is unable to serve the public in a polite and courteous manner she should not be working in a public facing job. I have never come across such total bigotry and prejudice in many years and I am 50 years old.

I hope the right people see this message and take her off the job and offer her further training because she clearly is in need of it. She has no right to treat not even one person in this way. I would never go in that shop again and I made that clear to the kind staff member. I travelled a really long way to get to this area and I would not spend any of my money there again but my only regret is that I didn’t take her name to name and shame her and to take this matter further.

Beware of this shop, a racist staff member is present !!!!!!!

I edit this review to add a description of this woman: dark brown hair shoulder length to mid length hair, approx 5ft6 height, I believe she had a spanish accent at a guess. I have awoken this morning re-calling the event yesterday and speaking to my daughter about it, so she is aware that racism appears its ugly head in many different ways, shapes and forms and to call it out and speak up when she sees it. I hope this message gets taken seriously and not ignored. If it does then it confirms that this is the type of behaviour is deemed acceptable by the owners. I would like a personal invite to go back into the shop and get an apology from this lady who chose to ignore me even when she knew I was upset. Also it’s important that she is given customer service training before being put in a public facing job! Having other polite staff members covering up her rudeness is not acceptable.

My new favourite shop for herbs, spices, grains, cereal grains, legumes, just to name a few! Their selection is fantastic for such a little store. They stock rarer products too, like soap nuts and cordycep powder! I love that they have refill and bulk buy stations; they provide baggies, if you didn't bring your own containers.
Some discounts for some products if you buy more.
Some products can be a little pricey, especially beauty products, but there are some really decently priced food products, too.

I love this place. They have so many organic herbs, some of which I've never heard of before.
I had a blend of herbs made for me, in order to help with my heavy period and cramping. Even when I was taking it, inconsistently, it still worked. Now, I'm taking it daily, as instructed, and it's like night and day.
The customer service is excellent as well. Everyone is so knowledgeable and informative.

The best wholefood and organic food shop in the area - been here for years and wonderfully old-school. Ethical, not for profit, with a great range of goods including plenty of grains and pulses sold loose to reduce packaging, and a refill station for toiletries, wash-up liquid etc. And all at competitive prices. Plus a massive selection of medicinal and cooking herbs and spices great team of knowledgeable staff who can advise on natural remedies.
