If you are reading this, then you may be considering Dr. Abdelghani. I saw him for ADHD, but I hope you will still read this regardless of why you are seeing him. Dr. Abdelghani is one of the kindest men I’ve ever met, and he genuinely has your best interest at heart. I decided to write this review at the end of the process to fully understand how it could help me, and I hope to share my story with you.

I’m the managing director of a small business. It wasn’t until my 50s that I discovered my son had ADHD. Neither he nor I are hyperactive, which makes it harder to spot. I recognized something in my son that reminded me of myself. I am dyslexic and my behavior was often attributed to that, but it didn’t fully explain it. I’ve always felt different from my peers, not better or worse, just different. Some things I struggled with, like paying attention and remembering names, while other things, like hyper-focus, seemed like superpowers.

For my son, our journey began when his grades nosedived, and his teenage behavior worsened. Endless detentions had no effect other than making the situation worse. Eventually, his tutor confessed that “This is the worst parent-teacher meeting I’ve ever had to do.” It was a lightbulb moment, and I decided to remove him from the school. His next school recognized his behavior and embraced him. Some months later, I attended a school seminar on ADHD, and it all clicked. My life and my son's life suddenly made sense, and we could start the journey together.

Then I came across Dr. Abdelghani. There was a lot of negative press about ADHD treatments, even on Harley Street, but my experience has been 100% positive. Dr. Abdelghani and his team were lovely, understanding, caring, and professional from the start. The process is very structured, with lots of questions and questionnaires to build a full picture. After my first meeting and consultation, he felt confident that I had ADHD. The questionnaires were in-depth and showed an understanding of the condition. You can fully trust Dr. Abdelghani.

The first treatment I tried made me feel odd, so we immediately changed it. I went into this with huge excitement, looking for a magic pill to fix everything. I started on the smallest dose, expecting a miracle. I reported mild benefits, so Dr. Abdelghani increased the dose, and I experienced more benefits but was not overwhelmed. Finally, he tried the largest dose, and I was able to focus all day. However, it felt like hyper-focus all the time, which wasn’t good either, so we lowered the dose again.

Is it a miracle? No. Has it solved my ADHD? No. Does it help me function? Yes. Has my life improved? Yes. I can focus more consistently, which has improved my work life. However, it hasn’t helped with emotional regulation, and my memory is still poor. Nonetheless, I’m grateful to have met Dr. Abdelghani.

In conclusion, I did this for my son, who is now 19 and has decided to take a different route with natural treatments. He takes cold showers and exercises, which helps him. Good on him for understanding it. The treatment is available if he decides he wants it in the future. As for me, I’m sticking with it. I wish you so much luck.

I can't recommend Dr Abdelghani and his team enough for their care during TMS treatment. It is 2 months post treatment and I am still amazed at how effective it has been, especially after trying various treatments over the last 20 years. It has made a hugely positive impact on my life, and is something that my friends and family see as well. Dr. Abdelghani and his team are experienced and knowledgeable in the area, and made me feel comfortable during each of my sessions. I would absolutely recommend working with Dr. Abdelghani and his team.

This review is of the overall clinical support and not the doctors.

My experience has been a total disappointment and frustration. Following my consultation the doctor and I agreed a medication plan. Despite this, it took the clinic a further two weeks to simply write a prescription. Note, the two weeks was to issue it alone.

Emails for clarity or further information go unanswered for lengthy periods. Admin staff leave you in a loop of waiting for responses from the medical team for queries that are purely administrative.

They partner with a pharmacy that will deliver medications or, alternatively, you can drive from central London to Richmond to collect a physical copy.

The lone pharmacy with which they have chosen to partner charges 20% more than other pharmacies for the same medication.

Should you opt to collect the prescription in clinic expect to wait a week. The doctors are seemingly rarely there and are apparently unable to authorize other clinicians to write them (despite the admin team offering this as an option).

In sum, if you want timely and responsive support you will not find it here.

I rarely write reviews, but the care I received at this clinic was truly outstanding. My first appointment at the clinic was in December. At the time I was going through a very bad episode of depression and I felt like I have exhausted treatment option available via NHS.

My first appointment at Dyad medical was with Dr Deepu Thomas he diagnosed me with treatment-resistant depression. He also suggested that Spravato would be the best treatment option for my circumstances, and indeed it was (my symptoms improved dramatically since beginning this treatment course). Later I had several appointments with Dr Abdelghani. Everyone at the clinic was understanding of my condition and very supportive.

Finally, I’d like to add that I do appreciate how transparent they are at the clinic about the treatment costs. The quotes were always provided to me in advance (and always did reflect the prices listed on their website).
