ATP program is run diligently yet is outdated and the materials need updating. Some overlap with the general program may benefit certain patients.

Dr Watts is a wonderful psychiatrist whose decades' worth of experience speaks for itself. Truly cares for every facet of one's care and has a calming presence that exudes wisdom and professionalism.

Poor experience with one other psychiatrist - apparent lack of regard for my psychological state and complex presentation leading to severe miscommunication and undue stress.

Overall the facilities are good, the nursing and catering staff are on the whole excellent.

I have had treatment at the Priory North London over a few years and have been thoroughly pleased with their services. They offer a fantastic therapy regime with brilliant therapists from all backgrounds and specialisations, as well as ward led activities (such as arts and crafts and movie nights) to keep patients engaged. The ward itself is extremely clean and comfortable, the rooms offer privacy and there are rooms available for the patients to socialise and entertain themselves. Both the nurses and HCAs are wonderful and pleasant. They were extremely welcoming to me and always have time to help me problem solve and talk about some of my struggles and worries. Didi was a particular stand out - she always went above and beyond to make my experience as comfortable as possible. I would 100% recommended the Priory North London for mental health treatment and will always remember my experience as a positive one.

I cannot express enough gratitude for my incredible 5-week stay at The Priory North London Hospital. From the moment I arrived, I was met with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care from every single member of staff. This was truly a life-changing experience.

The 1:1 therapy sessions were nothing short of exceptional – tailored, insightful, and delivered with such compassion that I always felt heard and supported. My therapist was incredible at helping me unpack complex emotions and guiding me towards meaningful growth.

The group therapy sessions were equally transformative. The facilitators created a safe and supportive environment where I felt empowered to share, learn, and connect with others going through similar experiences. The camaraderie and mutual encouragement from both staff and fellow patients became an essential part of my healing process.

Your approach, especially the flexibility to shift from EMDR therapy to a deeper exploration of my life, was exactly what I needed. It really helped me uncover underlying issues from my past that were affecting me in ways I didn’t fully realize.

I spent 5 weeks at the priory north London and the entire experience was life changing for me. But I do have to say one of the highlights for me were the staff at lower court. Every member of staff were amazing and helped me through difficult times. The ward manager, Tahera was always there to sort any problems I had and I could write a full paragraph on each member of staff about how great they were and how they helped me but I just would rather say a huge thank you to them all for everything they did for me and making my time there so much happier. Tahera (ward manager) and Amanda (assistant ward manager) helped me and the other patients with a difficult situation. They put our care first and made it a priority to keep us informed while listening to our concerns. I am incredibly grateful for the care and support I received from my recent inpatient stay at Priory Hospital North London. I was at a very low point, but a combination of great and encouraging therapists, doctors, healthcare assistants and a supportive cohort of patients has turned my life around.
The only minor negative points are the 2-weekly bed changes (in summer particularly) and the distinctly average quality of dinners specifically - the other meals are much better. If these points can be addressed it would be outstanding in my opinion.
