My daughter was here for 5 days she contracted Ecoli and they failed to call the out of hours doctor when she had a 41degree temperature and a bleed on the brain because β€œThey have been having problems for years with out of hours doctors not retuning calls or turning up on site”
The place is dirty cockroaches in and outside the building, had to empty the bin in her room ourselves after 3 days.
The staff are nice.

An elderly relative was recently in both Oakwood & Rochester west wards. The general care/ physio & staff contact was good in Oakwood. But unfortunately this was definitely not the case with Rochester which was understaffed, & where phone contact was impossible. Most seriously he was discharged without his medication which took 24 hours to arrive. This is not excusable & caused unnecessary anxiety & risk to health.

Would give it 0 stars if possible. Refuse to go here if it is presented as an option! My mum went here for so called rehab! Carol and Callum the physios are just useless and stuck in their ways. The nursing staff are inhuman and do not care and leave patients to rot while they pretend to look busy on screens. Staff stand at the back of the ward on their phones! Awful hell hole of a place.

I have to say my experience in OAKWOOD WARD at South Wing was excellent!! I have been through a lot but im not going to take the SHINE away from the staffs. The nurses couldn't do enough to make me feel comfortable and pain free and most importantly with a smile nothing was too much bother and not to forget the receptionists and all the other staffs who work on that ward was BRILLIANT. Regarding the physiotherapist and the OT I would rate them 15 out of 10, being stak in the wheelchair for 8 months with no help I was walking with in 2 days in hospital with a frame, and again was nothing too much bother, absolutely brilliant. So just like to say thank you so much everyone for all the help and support I have received.

I'm very disappointed, my equipment meant to be installed on the morning I was coming home, was booked between 9am till 11am and my transport was booked for 11am. Come home nothing, ok im thinking maybe they running late (it can happen). When I called them they told me only one of the item in stock and the rest they need to order. One week later still nothing, I called them still not in. Again I'm back to the same thing, stack indoors as the step in my flat is too deep and I need a hand rail to hold on to. Also the equipments which can support me in my home don't have them. I can't put it in to words how upset and disappointed I feel.....

Contrary to what the hospital website says THERE IS NO PARKING!!
They need to remove this false information so people know.
I am disabled and there is no assessable parking anywhere on the hospital grounds. This needs to change.
How can disabled people access the hospital?!
