I have been under St John's Wood medical practice care for over 8 years now and I can say they are absolutely brilliant at what they do. Staff is kind, polite, helpful and promptly available. The phlebotomist Omar as well as the Specialist nurse and all the medical team are fantastic. I couldn't receive a better NHS GP service. Thank you!

I recently transferred to this practice, having done lots of research on NHS surgeries in the area. I've just come back from my first GP appointment (I was offered one 'same day') and am so pleased I chose this practice. I saw Dr Kaufman, who was not just knowledgeable and helpful, but friendly, kind and sensitive. He gave me lots of time to share my concerns and checked if there was anything else I wanted to raise at the end, to ensure we'd been thorough. The receptionists were lovely, too. 5 stars all round.

I’ve lived in St John’s Wood Medical Practice area for a few years. From the first I discovered that when I needed them, doctors, nurses and non-medical staff treated me in the way I’d imagine that they’d wish to be treated themselves. I’d moved a lot before I retired here and I’m clear that this is the best medical practice I’ve ever joined.

The challenges of running an effective NHS practice must be extremely daunting considering what people hope and expect nowadays. This practice has somehow managed to embrace same or next day consultations, which may be by phone, text or in person, using Patchs, an online referral system. Anyone not able to use this may still phone in and ask a receptionist to be referred for advice or treatment. Referrals are prioritised by medical staff, not by receptionists. I’ve found that when I’ve really needed it, this practice has been there for me very quickly and saved me from harm. I’ve found the doctors, in fact all staff, are humane and decent people who listen and try to understand my medical needs.

So thank you so much to all the very hard working people who work at St John’s Wood Medical Practice and to their leaders and managers for making this such a good place. I’m not connected to them in any way, I just think they deserve full credit for their caring and for their professionalism in doing what must be a very difficult task very well indeed.
