Wanted to thank Magda at the reception for always being friendly, approachable and attentive to my queries and requests. She is very efficient, professional and kind. I now like going into the surgery again for those reasons.

The worst GP Practice I have ever been registered with. After yet another upsetting experience last week, I feel compelled to write this review. Last Sunday I suffered extreme gum or tooth pain. Unclear what is was I phoned the pharmacist and 111 for help. They both informed me that I needed to contact my doctor, get pain killers and when the pain and inflammation went down, I would then need to see a dentist. The next day, I filled in Grove's online form and drove back to London to get an emergency appointment. I explained I was away and would be back in London by 1pm to see a doctor. I received a text saying they won't see me and I need to see a dentist. I called the dentist, they said no again, you need to see the doctor first. I then called Grove, and the receptionist said she would resend my form to the doctor to call me around 2pm. No call! At 5pm I got a call from the receptionist saying the doctor was confused of my whereabouts and could he call me in the week! When I got upset, and said that my form explained everything, including what time I got back to London, and why I wasn't being issued with pain killers on the same day, the receptionist put the phone down on me. Which apparently means I am being rude to the staff! I wasn't rude, I was merely asking why the doctor had not called me, after two points of contact, and why I couldn't get an appointment on the same day to stop the pain? Luckily, my pharmacist friend prescribed me oral painkillers, otherwise I would've been climbing the walls in pain for a lot longer.

Another time, I hurt my back and I couldn't get out of bed, so I called the doctor up for an appointment. I was crying with pain and really scared! The receptionist said I needed to go to hospital and call an ambulance to collect me. The ambulance said they would not come out for just a back issue. Four hours later, my neighbours helped get me out of bed and I went to A&E. One hour later, I was told by A&E that I shouldn't be there and I should have seen my local GP! Luckily, the hospital has an emergency GP who finally prescribed me with pain killers and anti-inflammatory tablets. Albeit four hours later. Again the hospital doctor said I should have seen my local GP.
It seems to me that the Grove online form we have to fill in, is just one barrier to not see the doctor, and the receptionist is the second barrier. I can't tell you how many times I have given up trying to see a doctor there. It's so upsetting that I needed to write this review.

But my worst experience was when the doctors there were treating me for a UTI condition and prescribed me antibiotics for over 2 years. When my pain never went away and all the UTI tests ALWAYS came back negative, I realised on my own, that I was perimenopausal and probably lacked oestrogen that would bring on similar symptoms to a UTI. The worst part is that the last female doctor I spoke to there, and to whom I requested to be put on HRT, did not want to give it to me at first, making some ridiculous comment that women over 50 never used to have sex and so is then not a problem! I was genuinely shocked at her insane comments.

Please don't go this practice. You will never get an appointment.

My partner and I have been with this GP practice for over two years since moving to the area, and we’ve always received outstanding care. From the receptionists to the nurses and doctors, the staff are consistently attentive and professional. This is truly one of the best GP practices we’ve registered with in our 12+ years in the UK. Highly recommended!

I was really unwell and was sent to A&E by paramedics and was requested to be followed up by GP.

I filled in their online form to request a GP appointment but I have been sleeping entire day and missed their second call by 15mins.

I called back and they refused to do anything to help and just keep asking me to fill in the form to restart the process. I tried explaining that I would still likely be sleeping next time they call, because I won't know when they would get in touch and I can't set an alarm for that. I'm in the same condition so would like to get the appointment time over the call and I can fill in the form again. The receptionist had zero sympathy, wasn't trying to be helpful and just kept telling me to fill in the form, knowing the likelihood is I would miss their call or text again.

It was my first visit to a GP in the UK, so I was a bit nervous about the experience (especially finding an appointment). However, it was nice and smooth. I filled out the online form and got a call the next day.

Dr Ali Hashmi was very confident, thorough and caring. He asked a lot of questions to understand my situation and explained next steps in details.

So, many thanks to the Medical Center for their work.

So far when having an issue with my son I have always been able to get on the day or next day appointments by filling out the form. Usually the appointments are on time and there is not much wait. All the doctors we have seen have always been helpful, kind and professional. I recommend.

Finally, a good experience after 13 years in London! The people here are very kind and lovely. They truly show they care by listening and giving understandable answers, instead of rushing me like the doctors at the clinic I was going to previously. If I mentioned two problems, they would tell me to come back another time and book another appointment. In this clinic, I was listened to and cared for. I was able to express all my concerns without feeling rushed. Thank you so much!

At Grove Medical Centre, there are good doctors and nurses. From my own experience, some doctors and nurses who have treated me and my children regarding our health have been exceptional. I’m always happy after seeing these doctors, whether through face-to-face or telephone appointments. They treat us with respect, are patient, attentive listeners, and considerate of my condition as well as my children’s. They provide helpful advice, explain concerns thoroughly, and make referrals when necessary.

Doctors such as Forgan Rachel, Dr. Muhammed, Dr. Ali, Nurse Dada, and Nurse Jane Coomber are particularly commendable.

The receptionists are also friendly—for example, Demi and Mandy. I highly recommend Grove Medical Centre, as it offers excellent care, as I have explained.
