Yesterday afternoon was the First time coming to UCH at Westmoreland Street. The main Reception staff were most helpful and accommodating, they directed us to the Urology Department Reception. The staff here were most helpful & accommodating too. 😊😊

We didn’t wait long before the Urology consultant called us in. He was friendly, professional and very respectful who gave us the time to explain the issues. Treated us with so much dignity. Such a lovely gentleman. Happy with the care we received from him & the team. If I could rate 10 stars I certainly would for the care & support you have given to my husband & and me too 😊Highly Recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

2024 - I love this hospital as it's not overwhelming or chaotic. Lovely staff, was called in half hour early for my scan, they made my appointment pleasant with humour and chat. Full breakfast in the hospital cafe at 9am was well worth the money, all food and drink is fairly priced here (about £11 for 5-item breakfast and coffee), especially considering the upmarket location. The hospital is small and calming with an outdoor courtyard, bright sunlit atrium, plus places to sit and charge your phone. There is also a shower in one of the toilet facilities behind the second reception.

2023 - After initially being told by appointment had been cancelled with no letter, Manager Jo Proestou was helpful and kind in liasing with the busy team for me to reattend later that day. Registrar Leo Kretzmer was professional and comforting, made me laugh to ease my anxiety, took note of the difficulties I had faced managing my condition and the obstacles I'd experienced during the past few years under changing consultants. He did a risk assessment and treatment plan there and then, with diagrams and notes for me to take away. I was offered tests immediately and received meds. Both Leo and Jo were exemplary, each of them approached me with well wishes as my friend and I got drinks in the hospital cafe after. I wish Leo all the best in his future career, he's a shining star in this world where staff are often too busy to treat us as individuals.

Been here three times once for prostate biopsy which i had to be sedated and two MRI scans and each occasion i was treat with the utmost respect by the Drs and nurses and especially the after care nurse after coming round from the sedative, to give this a one star rating by some people is ridiculous.

I have been to this hospital for several years and can honestly say that I have always received the best care.
The medical team in urology always take great care of me and are very helpful.
The hospital is clean and always tidy.
Although I haven't been seen for 4 years, I am meant to have yearly follow up appointments following extensive bladder reconstruction, and chronic pain which is still uncontrolled even though I take numerous pain killers...I almost died in theatre but miss greenwell did her utmost effort to save me....the stress it has left my family in is unforgiving...other than these issues I can't fault urology in the past,my complaint is since COVID I feel like I've been ignored...hopefully I can get an appointment with Mr okrim or miss greenwell...

I received care in 2nd floor short stay surgery ward in January 2024. The staff were caring, efficient and friendly. The vulnerability one feels on such a visit is anxiety inducing but the attentive and caring attitudes and warmth from staff makes all the difference to the experience. These people are the true heroes and we should all be thankful.
