I brought my son in due to him falling off a bike and he had accidentally hit his abdomen in the handlebar and we were very concerned about internal damage.

On arrival everything was so quick and he was very well looked after with great care and thoroughness. The staff were super friendly and considerate.

I would recommend to anyone with children in Birmingham and the surrounding areas to come here as it is super professional.

Really have nothing negative to say.

I am under the Birmingham children's hospital and I have been for 12 years so far (since 3 ½) and the nurses, doctors, cleaners and all the staff are very professional and supportive of anything you are going through. They are always there to help. I must say in particular they have been amazing with CKD as I haven't really been admitted to other departments but overall a incredible and special place ❤️. I feel welcomed every time without fail 😊

Birmingham Children’s Hospital is amazing! My son is receiving treatment here, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he is getting.

The nurses in Ward 1 are so kind, caring, and always ready to help. They make sure both the children and parents feel comfortable and supported.

The doctors are true professionals—they know what they’re doing and take the time to explain everything clearly. I feel confident that my son is in the best hands.

Overall, our experience has been the best, and I highly recommend this hospital to any parent who needs great care for their child.

we rushed our son after he started throwing up coffee ground vomit at 2:15am. when we got at children's hospital I went straight to the assessment room and explained my concerns to the nurse. God bless her, she prioritise my son and brought him into the room. While assessing him, he again threw up and this time it was clear blood. Noticing that the nurse rushed us in, lead us in to one of the cubicles and called a doctor and went back. Until this time we were very grateful especially for the very caring and compassionate nurse in the assessment room. Sometime after a female doctor walked in and asked me a question, halfway through answering the question she just cut me in and said ''I am not worried'' and we will send you home. I couldn't believe the words she spat at me, very unprofessional, disrespectful. I understand that at times they can be busy, but regardless while her still talking, my son brought up blood for the second time since we got at the hospital. Still she insisted on sending him back home. She did not wanted to do any investigation, nor observation, just like that. Let alone a 4 year old child throwing up blood, when they normally bring up what they ate is quite concerning. Obviously, we went back home that day and since then my son has never being the same. He always complain of burning sensation pointing on where his stomach is and asking for a very cold water. I went back to GP, which are not doing anything. Recently, the burning sensation he used to complain of become quite frequent, he stopped eating and if he does he vomits it. So, my overall experience at children's hospital is rubbish, inhuman and the attitude the doctor showed us was despicable. To the worst, I overheard her the doctor talking with one of the nurses how troubling person I am. I hope the doctor, will grow a human heart and start to see patients with compassion and be able to understand parent's concerns too. Of course she might not be worried about my son's condition, but how about trying to give me some explanation about what is causing it and reassurance. I felt like as if she was angry at me for seeking help, I really don't know how to put it. So sad.

Thanks to childrens hospital to save my daughter's life . My daughter has severe infection backside ear which let the brain vein blockage. The doctor team did surgery and reduce the pressure on brain vein. Deal good with refrence to metropolitan hospital. But after the discharge, when we need any appointment or medicine which is to be continue for 3 months, they dont pick call or when they prescribe, the medicine chest is too slow . Main doctors team is too good. But the ground staff is not giving 100%.medicine chest is too slow to provide medicine even there is only 1 patient in the medicine room. I am giving 5 star for best doctor team and my daughter's life. Thanks BC Hospital

My little boy was admitted to the Neonatal surgical ward. He was in there for 4 days. Best hospital I've ever been to. The staff on that ward are absolutely amazing. The hospital definitely deserves more funding. They save children's life's everyday. Just a shame it's such a horrible part of Birmingham. Council need to sort it out. Beautiful hospital and it's surrounded by mess. Sort it out Birmingham Council!

Amazing hospital, I honestly can't praise them enough. The care my son has received over the past month has been exceptional, the staff go above and beyond and I haven't met one nurse or doctor that hasn't been friendly, experienced and just truly amazing at what they do, the burns unit is truly unbelievable. We were transferred here from another area and this hospital really is the best I've ever experienced. Not only have they provided the very best treatment and care for my son, they have also been so considerate, understanding and paitent with him as he has additional needs. They not only cared for my son they also provided me with so much support as a mum and I will forever be grateful to them all. Thank you for everything you all do at Birmingham hospital, you make such a difference to people who are going through a tough time and you should all be very proud of what you provide here

Went at 21:30 with 4 year old son high fever, prone to seizures,multiple underlying conditions, then left for 6 hours in reception, then moved to a cubicle left for one hour, still not seen doctor at this point, discharged my son as be faster seeing own GP and the doctor there was referring all kids back home, didn't ask how son was apart from one young nurse, to see for myself that my son was only white kid in there and all other children in cubicles had been seen by the doctor or they had been in to check on them except my son I'm not making this about race as all kids from any background deserve treatment but seems highly suspicious that my son was only one not seen by doctor at all in 7 hours?
