Receptionists are efficient and helpful. I've had good experiences with Practice Nurses and, when I've managed to get an appointment with a Doctor - telephone or face to face - they've been great. The Practice in general has been very good at following up on tests, etc. However, I've given up ringing for an appointment as it takes forever to get past all the recorded information - I go there personally as it's much quicker and better! I know that not everyone can do that, though ...

been on the phone for 1 hour 9min to get a doctors appointment. they need to emply more staff and employ staff that actually want to work. Too much pass the call onto another person going on in that surgery.

Suggestion: - If GPs can't see patients, they should not be paid by NHS only for the sake of patients being on the books.

Everyone must have a say on how NHS is being run & users treated fairly and not just listed to receive money from taxes.

The Details About My Experience Is More About User Experience & Not About GP Skills.

Now, Reception is Mostly Pleasant & Friendly To Start With, Not Long Before The Questions Are Answered With Scripted Verbiage.

Never heard about anything known as thinking skills, absorb information and respond with solution that is really a simple one.

If I need a blood test, how long does it takes to add another test to already secured appointment that is in 2.5 weeks from today ?. Instead of making things simple and easy, these are being complicated to the determent of tax payer !.

I can Name, but would avoid this time, today when I spoke to reception, some unqualified individual can't say my name, I had to remind 3 times within a short call.
The other annoying bit is was, the open repeat of "this is NHS and can't promise". I thought !. I am paying substantial taxes and NI to fund it. so, I should be treated with respect or be provided with an option to not pay into NHS and use same money to fund a private insurance. I understand this may be the start if a long argument, but, if not highlighted now, NHS will cost us individuals £££ and not work for us in the hour of need.

I use this practice for 10 years now and not always been roses but recently the service has improved a lot.

The main improvements I noticed are:

Follow up with patients - Doctors and other professionals phone you to discuss important information.

Easy to get an appointment - recently I managed to get appointments for my family and I within a week and my last appointment was booked for the same day.

Kindness - I never thought I would say that as in the past some of the staff was rude and always talked over you. But this is not the case anymore and they are very helpful and keen to help specially on the phone.

This place and its reception staff and their management is absolutely appalling and must be shut down immediately as it does nothing but wasting taxpayer money. I have been refused appointments every time and send to walk in centre with the very same excuse that they are fully booked. Their staff and management excuse when asking question and telling them the only truth is that I am rude! The receptionist and its managerial team looks suspiciously similar and the way they have treated me is nothing but a racist- every time, it’s like a family run business funded by the taxpayer money. Staff very unpleasant and unprofessional, unable to answer simple questions! The surgery manager kept repeating the same thing go in walking centre or go private, when questioned about the money taken from my pocket to pay for their wages, they called me rude again, but no answer to any of my questions! This place is to be avoided by all means and the front office staff sent to a walk in centre to learn their business. Their management is very rude, unprofessional and unpleasant individual and definitely not worth the money spent on them!
Hope this review will help you when choosing your surgery, and hopefully many more share their experience to help others to see the reality of this family run circus 🤡

After getting a text asking me to contact surgery, sat on hold for half an hour, then again for 10 mins, then about 4 more tries of a couple of minutes or so, then gave up. Over an hour wasted with no progress or being able to speak to someone. Takes over a minute of listening to automated messages before the phone even rings and obviously there's nobody there answering the phone, but from the moment the automated chat starts, you're connected and being charged for the call. Shame, because the GP's I've seen are good and the pharmacy is great. Seems the only way to speak to anyone is to physically go to reception, not helpful when you're at work before it opens, work 10 miles away and struggle to get there in time before it closes due to traffic. So managed to do that today, car park virtually empty and nobody waiting. Must be something wrong with the phone system. Either way, seriously thinking about moving to a different surgery.

I can never get anyone on the phone! I’m on hold for up to 45 minutes at a time, I end up giving up and putting the phone down. I keep getting messages saying I can no longer get my prescription until I get a review. Such a shame as when I do manage to see someone they’re quick and swift in the process. This applies to not only myself but my 18 month old son who had a medical history and has to been seen quickly at times.
