Spent a few hours with a child with a minor head injury. Fantastic service with lovely considerate staff who treated us with respect and kindness. The nurses and doctor spoke calmly and clearly to my daughter and made her feel comforted and safe. Left confidently knowing that she had been looked after well

I had an elective c section here last week and I have to say the care was impeccable, throughout every minute my husband could stay with me and nothing was too much trouble for anybody, everyone genuinely appeared like they enjoyed their job and wanted to help. I felt so supported (even though I was so scared!). I had so much past trauma with the birth of my first child at a different hospital but my experience here has wiped that all away. Thank you so much swan ward for giving me the positive birth experience that I needed, I wouldn’t hesitate to birth here again.

Excellent staff, treat everyone with empathy. Do note you will need to wait.
1.Get to reception, share your details, they will give handband and you will be asked to sit in the waiting area.

2. Your name will be called and staff will check your vitals say BP, Temp, SPO2 etc. Back to waiting area.

3. Your name will be called and the senior nurse will speak with you and may suggest some tests which you may need to do or wait for the doctor to call you again. Back to the waiting area.

4. The doctor will call you and do the examination and ask to wait depending upon severity or discuss with your caretaker.

5. If nothing serious, the doctor will speak with you and you can go home, connect with your local GP.

Parking is available, but paid, which you can pay outside A&E Dept.

Improvement needed in washroom upkeep, bin overflowing, masks , tissues scattered.

Overall the 1st Experience was quite good.

Staff here are beautiful. The hospital is old rundown and it takes hours to go and see anybody to do anything when I arrived. I was supposed to get blood work done they forgot so when I went to see the doctor I had to wait again for bloodwork, which took two hours now I’m waiting for a CT scan on total. I have been here Eight hours unacceptable.

Went to a&e with a dislocated shoulder and in great pain. Within a few minutes I was given painkillers and was waiting for an x-ray. Only a few more minutes later, the friendly doctor (woman name starting with F, sorry I don't remember!) and nurse team was giving me gas and air and relocating the shoulder. Huge relief. Thank you for fantastic service and so friendly.

I had a tooth extraction on 31st December. Very anxious but didn't need to be. From the moment I walked through the door I was well looked after by everyone and I had contact with many people before and after the op. Everything went smoothly and I left happy. I am so thankful.

I have to visit this hospital regularly and the staff are friendly, caring, knowledgeable and they provide excellent quality of care.
This has been my experience with the booking team, the busy teams in A&E, the day surgery team, Dr Tso (and his team) and Dr Ragathan (and the team that support her) and the lovely people that man the 'help desk' when you enter the hospital.
In my opinion, this is a good hospital where people try their best, however
One of the things that can be improved is the parking as more spaces are required, so I hope this will be resolved soon (especially with additional space being built)

My young son was seen so quickly in minor injuries , x rayed very quickly and a decision made (all in just over an hour). Staff were all lovely and incredibly kind to him. Could not fault it
