Extremely Unprofessional and Uncaring Staff – Avoid This GP Practice

I had a terrible experience with this medical centre. The staff, including Dr. Sundar, Dr Tom, and Nurse Rebecca, are highly unprofessional and show no regard for their patients. They barely glance at medical notes, rush through consultations, and provide generic, unhelpful advice. Their lack of attention to detail is deeply concerning.

The receptionists are equally bad – rude, untrained in customer service, and completely lacking in empathy. They don’t know how to deal with patients respectfully, let alone offer support when you’re unwell.

To make matters worse, senior management, including Dr. Arani, is no better. They ignore complaints, fail to address issues, and make every interaction unnecessarily difficult. This practice even managed to mix up my dad’s NHS records and didn’t bother apologizing once.

I’ve already filed a complaint with the GMC and am seriously considering escalating this further. The complete lack of accountability and professionalism here is appalling. If you value your time, health, and energy, avoid this GP at all costs. This is by far the worst medical service I’ve ever encountered.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I recently received at woodgate valley health centre. My experience was far from what I expected in terms of professional medical care and patient service. Below are the concerns I would like to raise:

1. Poor Customer Service: The reception staff displayed a lack of professionalism and courtesy, making the process unnecessarily stressful.

2. Unprofessional Staff: The staff I interacted with did not demonstrate the professionalism or expertise I would expect from a medical practice.

3. Discomfort During Nurse Appointment: The nurse I saw made me feel uncomfortable throughout the appointment, which only added to the distress of my condition.

4. Lack of Proper Examination: The nurse did not thoroughly examine my condition and appeared to lack the knowledge required to address my issue.

5. Ignored Urgency of My Case: A private GP had advised me to visit your practice urgently due to an infection. However, no action was taken during my appointment to address the matter, leaving my condition untreated.

Overall, this was the most disappointing experience I have had with any GP practice. I expected a much higher standard of care and professionalism, particularly when dealing with a potentially serious health concern.

I request that you investigate this matter promptly and provide an explanation for the poor service I received. Furthermore, I would appreciate any steps you plan to take to ensure such issues do not occur in the future.

I look forward to your response.

Never get Registered with the surgery, on numerous occasions the waiting time is really long even if there is an emergency. Also when you have an appointment you still wait 50mins to be seen I am disgraced at such behaviour. When you ask the receptionist you never get a straight answer and some of the staff is rude. It's a doctor surgery to treat and see people not to make them wait with a baby for 50 mins not happy at all.

I’ve been registered at this doctors since I was a baby, I’m 21 now and every time I have come here my appointment is never on time!! Always a good 20 mins late sometimes even later. The receptionists are quite rude and seem like they don’t want to speak to you or help you. Definitely one of the worst practices in Birmingham.

Disgustingly rude receptionist. It’s a doctors practise, not debt collectors. All need serious training on how to speak to people; cannot believe they’ve been given a job there. Called up to book an appt as I have done in several different practises and the receptionist point blank refused. Rude, unresponsive and extremely ill mannered.

Today (3/7/24) at 3.15pm I attended podiatry clinic for toe nail extraction. I met two wonderful people, nurse Anna and podiatrist John (I hope I remember his name correctly). I am grateful for their attention and help. They were brilliant. ❤️Mohammad.
