Melru are utterly amazing and I should know - I've had over 15 home care agencies in my adult life and none have ever come close to being this good! Most average agencies either have good carers OR are well lead. Melru have both. Their managers are kind, competent and highly responsive and nothing is too much trouble. Their carers treat me like a person, adore my cats and work with me, not against me. My whole quality of life has changed! I've even noticed my health improving and being able to do and achieve more at work as a result!
Definitely hire these guys!

I am a vocational support worker providing a work enablement service for a disabled client working at home. My client is a wheelchair user and has complex care needs. For personal care, we advertised for an agency, and Melru reached out to us.

From the very first meeting with the managers, Melru showed both a professional attitude and a genuine sense of care, treating my client at all times with respect, consideration, and understanding. We have been with Melru for around a year now and we never cease to be impressed by the carers' diligence, dedication and patience, not to mention their eagerness to help and willingness to learn and jump into new tasks as they work. Carers listen to my client, ask questions, offer help, duly consider and fairly respond to all reasonable requests, and go out of their way not only to ensure my client's dignity is maintained but also to evenly balance the relationship between her care needs and her independence.

Given that my client has suffered negative experiences of care agencies in the past, Melru's approach to care is both refreshing and reassuring, and my client has been happier in herself as well as more independent in the home, being able to pursue her hobbies and interests mostly unaided after things have simply been set out for her, but also more productive at work because she is less stressed.

Melru provides, in my opinion, a very humanising experience of care in the home. This is an organisation that knows each of its clients is a person with thoughts, beliefs and feelings to which all persons are entitled. As someone who has seen many care agencies in action and ranged in reaction to their behaviours from mild dissatisfaction to grave concern, I'd recommend Melru to anyone who needs personal care, especially those who have difficulty in asking for, or accepting, help.
