Waited 3 months for a referral to the rehabilitation centre which is a few hundred meters from this health centre. They had already messed up one referral where they supplied insufficient information to the rehabilitation centre. Today the doctor had phoned me. For some reason she sounded like she did not want to refer me. I need a prosthetic limb as I have been stuck in the house for over a year. She made a sarcastic comment after she asked why I need the limb. She said you need a new house not a new limb. I have been registered with this practice all my life. And have never been mistreated like this before. I understand all the staff have recently been replaced and i have never spoke out or said a bad word to them. Honestly this is out of order and incompetent. Replace with professionals immediately.

I was on the phone with a receptionist trying to schedule on appointment, but she kept putting me on hold and eventually slammed the phone down on me when I asked her not to put me hold before I could actually confirm the date of my appointment. I then called back and no one answered. I was on hold for over 15 minutes, before I finally gave up. What an absolute shambles. Keeping in mind that these so called health professionals are supposed to show compassion and sympathy. No one goes to see the doctor because they have nothing better to do.

Rudest staff ever. Waited on the phone 1hr to get through, then some rude lady with an african accent supposedly named Lara picked up, was so unwilling to help, told me to book an appointment via a link. I asked what this line was for, and she said she doesnt know I asked do you not work here and she started shouting at me, and finally hung up. Waited again on the phone line for 30mins as online booking wasnt working, she said try again as she could not help me. Finally had to tell her I am visually impaired, and many random holds later she brought another lady on the phone who was asking invasive questions and then ended up putting me on hold too. Never got my appointment. Absolutely astonished, if I was calling about being suicidal this would’ve probably been my 13th reason.

Absolutely horrible service, I handed in registration papers last week and was told after 4 days i should be registered, phoned them 3 days in not fully expecting to be registered only to be told immediately and rudely I wouldnt be on the system. Then phoned after 4 days only to be immediately told it takes 2 weeks to get on the system. Which is absolutely ridiculous, they claimed it was because of increased workload which im sure is true, however if that was the case why would i ever have been told it would take 4 days? I then asked why i was told 4 days only to be immediately put on hold with no warning whatsoever and then told i was not on the system BEFORE i had given them ANY of my details over the phone? When i asked them to double check and actually gave them some details to look up they again just told me i wasnt on the system and honestly, given how quick the responses was, i am very, very skeptical they actually checked anything at all. They clearly do not care at all, and only pick up the phone with the sole intention of putting it back down as soon as possible with little to no consideration to who is on the other side nor the situation they are in. Furthermore this is all under the context of which I wanted to urgently book an appointment, I completely understand if there is nothing they can do, but there is just a complete lack of respect. Absolutely shameful and im incredibly unhappy to have to use this service while im living here in Selly Oak.

This surgery was great before Covid, and I couldn’t rate high enough… now.. what a disgrace. The receptionists are polite enough, however apart from 1 doctor there the other 2 are awful. It’s such a shame Dr Becker left, as she was great. Really had time and cared. Now you feel like a number.

Very very bad . I had appoiment with the young lady doctor as she s replacing my doctor that is in holiday and she was very very very rude just rushing me a lots , and telling me story about other patients.. I was there tos sort outmy problems not hear her complains that she call the ambulance for someone else and how busy she is like not having time to listen to my problems … acting like rude and sending me away very quick not listening not to even one of my words she was “ overwhelmed “.

Terrible service and delays. I requested a GP letter required for a school submission, but it took over six weeks to be informed that a doctor's phone call was necessary, further delaying the process by another week. Unfortunately, I missed my submission deadline because of this delay. I would never want to experience that again

After having a severe cough for the past week or more, the wife and I were directed to Katie Road Health centre today 11/04/2024. The doctor saw both of us together. Can’t recall the his name, but he was very polite and thorough, gave us the full MOT, but most of all he was very informative as to what our problem was. Excellent service. Mr Leonard Gill. Kings Heath.
