This is the worst GP ever. The receptionists need a lesson in manners and how to speak people. My poor mother in law had a call for an appointment same day and when she went in, she had to wait for all but an hour over her appointment time! The waiting area was empty as well may I add! She’s disabled and the receptionist couldn’t give a crap! I hope she ends up in a situation like this or worse. Horrible old lady! The doctors are clueless too! I think it’s time for a change of GP surgery because they’re all joke! Shame on them all!!

I haven’t been with the surgery long, but I have had a great experience with reception staff and Dr Beech. The appointment system is very accessible and you get appointments in a reasonable time frame.

I just wanted to compliment Dr Beech, he has been the doctor I have spoken to on numerous occasions and he always listens to me and makes me feel comfortable in what I need to say. So praise to Dr Beech ☺️

It gets increasingly difficult to book an appointment here. You can now only book online but they still send out text messages asking you to call to book an appointment. I have met and spoke with uncaring doctors when I have been in states of absolute despair. I have had trouble with prescriptions and requests for referrals that never amount to anything. I only go to the doctors when I need to but this surgery makes me want to get into DIY, at least i would feel as though my issues are getting solved.

Have been a patient at this surgery for 10+ years. There are some excellent doctors - of note are Dr Jamil, Dr Gooding and Dr Smith. They don’t simply throw medications at problems, they use their training and experience to investigate and set an appropriate course of action. They are one of the main reasons we continue to live in the area.

Was on hold for well over 25 minutes today with that message telling me it's easer and quicker to go through the triage service NOT when they turn it off at 11 apparently when they reach capacity which is a dumb excuse its over a internet form then when I finally spoke to some she booked me a blood test OVER THE PHONE but when I asked for a medication review she couldn't book appointments over the phone i had to go through the triage service I asked her how when they turn it off she told me they turn it off when they reach capacity agian a dumb excuse because she filled the form out again over the phone I asked when the appointment would be and agian she didn't know when a doctor gets in touch JUST HORRIBLE SERVICE WHY ARE THEY MAKEING IT SO HARD IF YOU DONT WANT TO SEE PARIENTS DONT BE DOCTORS.

Reception/call centre staff do not follow doctors instructions/notes. Therefore, it's hard to get the correct patient care. Also nothing is confidential as they talk loud when discussing your personal information so that everyone can hear.
Adding to my review.
I cannot get an appointment and have been told to stop requesting for help. I am suffering pain and allergic reactions and these people act like they don't have a duty of care. I'm taking my complaint further as I'm fed up.

Unfortunately this is the worst GP surgery I have ever been registered with.
Since COVID, they have introduced a new appointment system designed to cut phone queueing and presumably make appointments more accessible, or based on priority.
The problem with this is that you have to wait up to 2 working days for your appointment request to be acknowledged, and even then it is almost impossible to get an appointment.
They expect you to wait 2 weeks for even so much as a telephone appointment. It is just not good enough.
A friend of mine has received alarming blood test results, and is being told that nobody is available to call her to discuss this for the next 2 weeks.

Please follow your patients best interests and return to same day appointments. I’m sure that people would rather wait in a long phone queue to be seen the same day rather than have to wait two weeks and use an online service. Who is deciding what should be prioritised based on the details disclosed in the appointment requests?

Thankfully I switched GP, and would advise anyone else to do the same.

I have been with Ridgeacre for 6 years and have recently relocated out of the city and left. But they deserve a 5 star review from me. I know practices are under pressure but they have always been great at getting me in for appointments or atleast offering a phone call. They've also been great throughout my pregnancy and with my little boy. The doctors listen and follow up. I'm really sad to leave this practice and I would definitely recommend them .
