I have never had any problem solved by going here. The lady working here told me that... "I feel something black in the dal" about my case. For one thing, I was already so sad, so hearing their words made me more stressed If you don't want to help someone, at least don't bother them by saying such things. She was looking at me like I didn't know what crime I had committed, He told me that how did you get this band in the bidding of the council house

The education and development centre of Nishkam offers accountancy - AAT level 2, 3 and 4. The standard of teaching is below average. The centre only offers 1 day a week learning for what would otherwise be a full time course. They only provide a basic understanding of the course material and seem to only have a rote learning approach. The teachers are sub-standard and they fail to engage or support their students. The course notes provided are actually another training provider's material - Kaplan or BPO, the teaching is by dictation rather than being practical, or a 'test your knowledge' method. The cost of the course is comparable to an official college or institution but here it is not full time enrolment, so no value for money. The course management is carried out by an administrator with no accountancy understanding, they fail to understand the requirements of students to ensure our success on the course. Students are not supported in their learning during the course or post exam. Just simply, the notes are provided, course is dictated, exams are set and then that's it. There is no duty of care for struggling students who have paid fully for the course. There is only an attempt and re-attempt exams process, retakes at further cost of between £70 -£100 each time. The teachers are not interested in offering further guidance or support. It seems to be that once course topics have been covered, then it ends. The administrator is not interested in organising any revision or study support. The teachers fail to respond to emails when we request further revision. The pass rate here has been poor and our results would otherwise have been much higher had we studied else where. Everything promised by AAT in terms of their ethos or their standards are not being met here at Nishkam. I am a former student who feels that I have under-achieved and not had any success by enrolling here at Nishkam. I have average results. I had to learn by self-study, text book and online support to even get the results that I did. I felt all I was doing is wasting an afternoon once a week and then sitting an exam at the centre. The rest I acheived on my own. In one example, I failed a computerised exam twice because of the lack of teaching or supporting. I received help from a family member for only 3 hours on the subject, I re-took the exam and achieved 100% pass mark. This highlights inadequate teaching and guidance from Nishkam. In another example, for the course subject of spreadsheet software, we were told to watch youtube videos on the subject and there was next to zero practical help or teaching of it, nobody in my class passed that exam, out of nine students. We are extremely disappointed and we have unfinished courses for which we have paid in excess of £4000 to date over 2 years for AAT level 2 and 3 ...Therefore, I do not recommend this centre. They seem to only be interested in revenue, the teachers are only performing to a standard to earn their contractual fees. Furthermore, there was never any discussion around how to gain work experience placements nor recruitment guidance. They don't have a plan for enabling students to enter the accountancy jobs sector. This has seriously disadvantaged us students who paid in full and enrolled in good faith.

A beautiful building, a good temple to contemplate on life. Food there is free and better than some restaurants. Free parking for 2 hours. Use to go to the old temple when I was a kid, but this new temple is grand. People are also very friendly, but it is more than a temple....Nishkam Civic Association!
