So many GP Surgeries get bad reviews and in most cases for the right reasons. The Oaks in Shady Lane, Great Barr is a brilliant surgery, really friendly staff who really care and go that extra mile.

When I book an online query, I get a quick response; when I attend the surgery, I get a brilliant service.

Staff are always very helpful and sympathetic. The Dr I saw on my visit in Sept, was very understanding and listened to me, there was no rushing from him. A follow up request was actioned without delay.

this doctors is worrying! I had my lungs checked today on my chest! Always thought they listen to your lungs from your back? Then to tell me i don’t have a chest infection it’s all the crap from smoking… i don’t smoke… was in the room for less then 2 minutes. Honestly this is actually the worse experience ive ever had with nhs.

I was very concerned that the receptionist was coughing and sneezing I would have thought a face mask would have been appropriate. As I have pulmonary fibrosis I was extremely concerned in picking up a virus!

I have always been treated well & friendly. No issues at all. My last appointment was for a blood test, which had to be done on a Saturday as there were not any appointments available before my prescription were due to expire. Thank you again for you assistance.

Also having BSB pharmacy linked with the practice, is perfect. They are also friendly and professional and always happy to help.

Writing on behalf of Veronica as she has dementia. Veronica was referred for a hospital appointment as her fingernails are growing into her hand due to fingers curling inwards. If the three clinic options given, none were able to do a home visit. Veronica is bed bound. We are still waiting to hear from the doctors if she has been referred anywhere else.
