Experience at Allington House

The staff at Allington House are generally friendly and reassuring, making patients feel comfortable during their visits. However, there have been reports of inconsistencies in communication regarding appointment times, which could be an area for improvement.

The clinic's accessibility is a positive aspect, as it caters to the needs of patients with disabilities. The main door entrance features a gentle slope, making it easy for wheelchair users to enter the building. However, the door leading to the reception area can be quite stiff, making it challenging for those on crutches.

One notable advantage of Allington House is its proximity to public transportation. A bus stop is conveniently located right next to the street entrance, making it easy for patients to reach the clinic.

My dad was happy with them at first , as the man who saw him was Ben and he was brilliant. But Ben left in January and a new person was meant to see my dad and never did, sadly July the 5th 2020 my dad passed away and on July 3rd 2020 was rushed into ipswich hospital with lots of health problems and sadly of 5th July was rushed into ICU . My mum has Alzheimer's . I have health problems too and help when I can.

Overbearing and think they're always right. Have no understanding of mental health issues and just talk down to you as if you're the child. Just turn up when requested not to due to personal reasons.

Nothing makes sense to me because in 2013 I was told not to cut my own toe nails because of being diagnosed as a diabetic. In 2018 it appears the CCG has changed it's mind and only people at a high risk can attend the clinic for podiatry services.I had a review and have been refused any more appointments and told to do my own toe nails.Easier Said than done for I have osteo arthritis in my fingers not giving me good dexterity and cannot bend due to lower back pain.My argument is why have I been going to podiatry for the past five years it proves you don't need to go so wasting NHS resources. It just means you have to go private if you can afford it on a British measly pension. What has happened to our NHS and the good and dedicated people whom once worked in it.Its partly down to government funding and partly down to greedy people in authority!!!!
