I have always found Stratton medical centre to be excellent for myself and my family. I have always been seen when needed and have received professional care. The reception staff have always been helpful whenever I have phoned. I would recommend the surgery.

I got a dr appointment within 6 days and was a minute early to be called in for appointment

Ended up having an ambulance called Monday.

4 day later and still no clear answer to why I'm so unwell.

Called today to check for urine results, only to be met with the rudest receptionist "you've called before 11, it's not an emergency" without putting too much information here, I'm still very unwell. And this lady, was blunt & rude. And so annoyed.

Her tone, her attitude, her customer skills... are some what lacking. I'll be logging a complaint when I call back later.

Despite showing on the NHS website as a 'walk-in centre', on arrival I was informed that the surgery did not see 'walk-ins', nor as a non resident could I even make an appointment. Instead I was advised to call my own GP who , if appropriate , could make a referral to them by email. Then someone could call me for a phone consultation. Not great when you're on holiday and just need a quick medical opinion.

Had a good experience on the phone with a practitioner Nurse Carol. She spent the day before trying to return my call as my mobile was out of range. She called me first thing today and was really thorough and helpful. Thank you great service

If I could put less Stars I would ! . The most condescending “ doctor “ put the phone down on me and said she has other things to be doing . Can NEVER get a prescription! They never ring back ! Do not come here ! I can’t wait to change ! . I had an accident and even then took 6 days for them to prescribe any pain medication or anything at all ! . Absolutely shameful ! It’s embarrassing!

Poor service. I called first thing for an emergency appointment due to very swollen eye. They asked me to send a photo via txt link... No link came through only a message to say follow the link below (not attached) . Tried calling for 2 hours to get through after waiting in a queue for 30 minutes to ask for the txt link. Eventually spoke to a doctor after sending photos who prescribed me something and said it would be sent to Boots in Bude ready to collect by 12. My partner who is a doctor went in on my behalf (in between patients- as I cannot see to drive) at 2pm to collect and nothing had been sent through to them and nothing was pending in my name. (wasted trip)

My partner then kindly tried to speak to the medical center again after waiting on hold to be told they couldn't talk to her about a prescription for me. (fair enough) so the medical center called me to say nothing had been prescribed and a message would be sent to the doctor... Absolutely diabolical service and nobody seems to know what they are doing.

With more and more houses being bulit in Bude I worry that Bude itself doesn't have the infrastructure let alone good medical care services to cope with more people. We need decent services to start with before the population grows.
