I was registered with this practice since moving nearby in 2005. I have found the GP team to be excellent, and been fortunate in mostly seeing the same GP, Dr Lindeck, who I found to be both caring and compassionate. There were critical health issues to deal with at various times, and I could not have wished for better care. It was with great regret that I left the practice.
I only hope my next GP practice is able to deliver the same standard of care. Thank you all.

I've been a patient at York Street Medical Practice for a few months, and I've always been impressed with the quality of care provided by the doctors. They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and take the time to listen to my concerns. I've never had any trouble booking appointments when I need to, as they offer advance booking (up to 7 days, I believe).

Unfortunately, my experience with the reception staff has been less positive. I often feel like I'm bothering them when I call, and they can seem quite curt. Although, there's one receptionist in particular who has always been incredibly helpful and friendly, but I haven't seen her in a while. It's a shame that the overall experience is somewhat marred by the receptionists' demeanor. I would hope that a practice focused on providing healthcare would employ staff who are more compassionate and understanding. Sadly giving it 3 starts overall, will review in the future.

Back in my native East London I had a lot of bad experiences with various GPs over the years. In extreme contrast the various GPs at York Street have personally been fantastic for me, they have been compassionate and got many referrals moving for me due to my complex and traumatic background. When your health and welfare is so vulnerable, it really means a lot to be shown kindness and professionalism. In addition one of the receptionists is always very friendly and helpful. I am sorry that soon I have to move away from Cambridge

They displayed exceptional professionalism, possessing extensive medical knowledge and skills. They handled my health issue with meticulous care and attention, ensuring that I received comprehensive medical treatment. They efficiently managed their time, promptly scheduling my appointments and providing me with comprehensive and appropriate treatments. This place should be giving masterclasses to the rest of the country on how to run a GPs practice - I have never known a practice like it. They will always see you on the day if necessary, and appointments for other days are easy to get hold of by calling at 8.30 in the morning. The receptionists are compassionate, efficient and friendly. The nurses have the sort of knowledge and understanding you might expect from a consultant doctor. There is a physio there every week and you can easily book appointments to see him on the practice website. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment once I am there, and the doctors will get back to you the same day with replies about medication etc. I feel so lucky to be living up the road from them!

The healthcare professionals at this practice are excellent and have always taken my health concerns seriously. The support staff are also respectful and responsive. I have had no problems getting same day appointments/ call backs when needed recently. Yes, you do need to allocate time first thing to call and wait in the call queue, but this is the case across many practices right now and is the fairest way of allocating appointments in an overwhelmed public health system. I would highly recommend this practice.
