When you actually get an appointment the doctors and nurses are amazing and receptionists are helpful. The problems have started since joining up with Oaklands Surgery. They NEVER answer the phone for both phone lines. I;m lucky because I'm young and healthy so my I can wait however my Nan was trying to ring for an hour and couldn't get through at which time my sister had to drive down to the surgery to book her an appointment. Joining up with Oaklands was the worst thing they have done because the service is terrible.

Hopelessly incompetent . The monthly battle to get my repeat prescription sorted out is incredibly stressful, and they can't seem to get the merger with Oaklands sorted out. Receptionists are different every time I go in, and some are very rude. Had my doctor changed without my knowledge (previous doctor had left..) and now the system for issuing prescriptions has changed too. It would've been nice to have been told, but it seems this basic courtesy is a nonstarter with this place.

When I originally registered with this practice I did because it was the only one around that suited me and didn't matter what time I was working I knew I could get an appointment, open every day 8-8 and even after they got rid of the walk in bit for non registered patients I still thought it was good because I could still book an appointment whatever time of day and get in perhaps a couple of hours later, now they've become part of Oakland's it's just terrible! Can never get an appointment, they don't open weekends and when I tried to pre book an appointment was told it wouldn't be for over 2 weeks yet somebody who can manage to get through at 8am can book an appointment during the same day. I used to swear by this practice as it was the best I've ever known but now I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Oakland's has ruined this practice!

Used to be amazing before they merged with another gp. Now i can never get an appointment.
Once spent an hour trying to get through, it was always line busy. Then when i got through to them, i was told there was no appointments. Walked into the surgery later that day to be told i can have a phone call one!!! Never had a call!

The doctors and nurses ive seen have been amazing everytime i go there. Its just trying to get an appointment since the merge which has been awful.

Incredibly rude reception staff.
I called to make a request for a repeat prescription as their online service is not working.
The prescription line is open at very restrictive times for patients who work full time (14:00 - 16:00). I called at 16:03 and was told no one could take my request until 14:00 tomorrow. I explained that I had been able to before.
The reception staff member was very rude. I cannot find means to make a complaint on their site.
Would not recommend if you work full time. I will be looking to change GP practices.

This doctors surgery is absolutely terrible i rang up at 8 o clock like told to book appointment and was told i was 32 in the line which was strange cause had just turned 8, when finally got through to the receptionist was told there wasnt any appointments for 5 weeks, so i asked if there was any phone call appointments but was told that they dont do them and that im wasting the mans time so to get off the phone which was really rude in my oppinion i asked when the next lot of prebookable appointments are which is normal a limited amount put on the system on a certain day of the week which was met with a very angry response saying whats with all the bloody questions you dont know what you are talking about no go away because im busy.

i am now in waiting to be accepted by a different doctors surgery because this practice is absolutely disgusting and some of the receptionist are rude.

This is one of NHS owned health centres apart from the Oakland health surgery in Yeovil. It is highly recommended that you make you appointment via online. Making an appointment is not an easy thing as there is always a waiting list here. The appointments are reserved with in 2 or 3 days

If i could give zero stars i would, ive had nothing but problems with them, i have been waiting months for a doctors signature on a medical form that i paid for but keep getting fobbed off saying its still with the doctor (it has been for a couple of months already). I cant speak to management but notes on there system says they were due to call me on two occasions but failed too. I still to date dont have a clue whats going on, to be honest i think they have lost the paperwork and are trying to cover there tracks. I just wish it was completed and i could continue with the recruitment that i need the medical form for.
If you need private medical forms completed then completely avoid this place.
