Good restaurant cheap food and no healthy options what was disappointing I paid for my English breakfast less than Ā£5 it was a bargain but some food didn’t had quality or they where overcooked but I can still recommend & the hospital & hospital staff is the best go & treat yourselfs. I can not fault our experience today with the 111 service and with all the follow up calls from staff at Worcester Royal. Including the time taken from our first telephone call through to being seen at the Hospital. We have no complaints at all. Everything dealt with very quickly and without delays. Under two hours from start to finish. Excellent service

The first 2 nights at Worcester Royal Hospital were absolutely excellent, The staff on Beech Ward second to none and so kind. The sister lead a great team of caring individuals. However, all that changed on the Sunday night. A nasty sister forced me out of my bed, late at night and moved me to a very cold old accident and emergency department with no shower or bathroom facilities, just one communal toilet. I was sent home the next day after 5 hours in departure. No sleep with a woman screaming, I was exhausted. I have a serious heart condition. On the way home I had an episode which can only be described as like a fit. My poor daughter was beside herself. Her paramedic friend took us back to the hospital and the horrors began again. After several tests a kindly Spanish doctor said I would have a bed while waiting for all my test results. We arrived at the hospital at 2pm and at 2am in the morning I still had no results and no bed. A man came out and took me to a room with several chairs in and I was told to wait for the doctor. My daughter and son in law stayed with me until 2,30am but had to get home to their children. I saw the kindly doctor at 4am 14 hours after admission who gave me good news and apologised for my treatment. I went back to the chair. When the doctor had left this awful man made me go back into the waiting area with no drink or shower facilities when the doctor had said I could remain in the cubicle with a chair until my daughter arrived. Before 6am the unkind man put me back in the hard seated waiting room. Ie awful staff and no sleep for over 48 hours. For a pensioner with heart disease and other problems this was beyond the pale. The last 2 days I would give zero stars

Very very busy got seen in triage and wanted over three hours to have bloods done but I discharged myself after waiting so long. Staff didn't really help me but on a lighter note the receptionists were lovely and friendly

Thank you to beech ward C especially Kash. Simran, pop and so many other ladies that were so kind to my partner who had a broken leg and wasn’t the calmest of patients. Not forgetting Elroy aswell. We can’t thank you all enough. You do a wonderful job under difficult circumstances. Also very grateful to the surgeon mr Pearce and the theatre team. Overall a fantastic hospital.

Terrible hospital. Having used hospitals in Birmingham, Shropshire and Worcestershire, I would have to say this has been the worst experience. From broken tables to lack of hygiene and blinds for that matter. Had to endure sun on my face for my stay because apparently no one was available to fix the blinds. How can patients be expected to move their bed every hour so the sun isn't directly on their face when they are trying to get some rest when in terrible pain?

Out of area and visiting Worcester. Experienced mixed symptoms on the 6th of Jan attending A&E was awaiting for triage for 3 hours, after triage asked for pain relief waited a futher 2 hours for pain relief and a futher 3 hours to be told I’m being moved department (note no bloods were took at this point still) moved department waited a futher 4 hours then had bloods and told I needed an X-ray as ā€œlooking at my records I have asthmaā€ (I don’t and have never been diagnosed with asthma)

Waited 2 more hours and was diagnosed with pleurisy. Given antibiotics and told to take them for the course written on the box, 3 days into my course I started getting chest pain, shortness of breath, rash and redness within my face and chest, although my pleurisy pain was subsided I was getting additional symptoms which I though was part of pleurisy. Looked at the box and leaflet saw one of the ingredients was penicillin to which I’m allergic too. Called 111 and advised to go back A&E Attend A&E again today 10/01/12 with these symptoms checked into A&E at 5pm was triaged and seen quickly within 30 mins then waited 2 hours for medication to reduce swelling, waited 4 hours for bloods and ECG to be done, current time is now 01:15am on 11/01/25 been here for around 9.5 hours and told to wait.

Overall, My recent experience at the A&E in Worcester has been quite concerning. Despite my symptoms and clear allergic reaction to penicillin, there were significant delays in receiving appropriate care. The oversight of not checking my medical records for allergies is worrying and could have been avoided. I hope for better attention to detail and a more efficient process in the future to prevent such incidents.

Updated - now 02:42am after over 10 hours I’ve just been seen by a consultant and was told I never had pleurisy to begin with and he is ā€œscraping the barrelā€ to see where I had it….so they are unsure why I was given antibiotics as antibiotics aren’t to treat pleurisy and told I never had it. I now however do have an infection and inflammation due to taking the antibiotics for a diagnosis I never had and taking medication I didn’t need and I’m allergic too so on a new medication to bring down the swelling and inflammation

My grandfather, aged 61, was admitted to Worcester Royal Hospital on December 19, following three separate visits to A&E where he was repeatedly sent home. This raises serious concerns about the competence of the hospital’s staff and the quality of care provided.

After finally being admitted, my grandfather was left without adequate medical attention for over a month. During this time, it was not the doctors at Worcester who diagnosed him, but rather specialists in Birmingham who confirmed he had stage 4 liver cancer. Tragically, despite clear signs of his condition, a nurse dismissed his symptoms by claiming he was exaggerating how unwell he was.

My grandfather has since passed away. The negligence and lack of urgency displayed by Worcester Royal Hospital are deeply concerning, and this institution is in dire need of review and reform. Such lapses in care are unacceptable and must be addressed to prevent further tragedies.
