This is one of the times I wish I can give a zero score. The lack of initiative and flexibility is astounding. All that is required is for the doctor to add a blood test request in my notes as I had already completed a consultation. What stops a receptionist from reminding the doctor to do the request? Now I must book another appointment, and at 9am on the dot, I was number 41 on the queue! Of course, no more appointment by the time they got to me! So, a simple request is taking weeks, because of lack of initiative. I'm so fed up with the system....

At Wolverton Health Centre, getting an appointment on the same day is practically impossible—no matter how many times you call, the answer is always the same. They could, in theory, book you for the next day, but they simply don’t want to. And when you finally do get an appointment and arrive, the waiting room is usually empty. So where’s all this supposed busyness?

The receptionist refused to disclose the complaint procedure saying that she is dealing with a queue. There was a queue, however, despite there was other members of staff available in the back of reception, no one helped me with my request. The attitude of all staff was very hostile.

I received a doctor’s appointment for the 29/10/2024. I was waiting for this appointment for two months. I am a schoolteacher and can only attend appointments in the afternoon whereas the healthcare specialist only has appointments in the morning.

The practice provided me an appointment during school’s half term. I replied confirming the appointment. Upon arriving at the center at the appointment’s time, I was told that the practice did not receive my confirmation and therefor I do not have an appointment.

Please find attached the appointment’s screenshot. It says that the patient must reply to the appointment within 24 hours. If not, the appointment will be cancelled.

THERE ISN’T ANY CLARIFICATION THAT AFTER THE PATIEN SHOULD RECEIVE ANOTHER EMAIL CONFIRMATION.

A replied to the message within 10 minutes of receipt. According to practice, I have never replied.

It is apparent that there is a serious flaw in this surgery system. They should explicitly state that after the patient’s reply, the patient should receive another email confirmation. If a patient did not have the final appointment confirmation within 24 hours, they must contact the surgery.

For over two weeks I was under the impression that I am having an appointment at half term.

As the result of this practice misconduct, I must wait another 8 weeks to the next half term but even then, I might not get an appointment. This gross mishandling is putting more pressure on the crippling NHS system.

I was never offered the chance to speak with someone or to make a new appointment. My experience with the Wolverton Health Centre is appalling.

I was trying to book an
appointment for my daughter.
Firstly, it didn't connect eventhough it was
like few seconds before 8am and got
connected exact 8am but I was number 19
still don't know how this works!? Then I
thought okay at least I'm in the queue and
waited and when I reached at number
9 it took ages to lower number God knows
what was happening there? Then still waited
after such a long wait got to number 8 and
still waited patiently but then suddenly got
cut off seriously that was really frustrating
And then tried to call again I was above
number 30 then I knew by the time will be
turn everything will be booked up! Could
you please make some changes in this
phone system as specifically when we book
for young children when they really need to
be seen for proper treatment? My daughter
is just 4 and constantly getting ear
infection, she has gone through so many
antibiotics. I wouldn't still complain
but this time it really got me. (This experience was on Tuesday 24th Sep. 2024)
Receptionist sounded rude when rang again today!!!

Doctors and Nurses themselves are good but to get to them via Receptionist is stressful!!!

Dr Zaman and Dr(Mr) Mushtaq are the gold here and help you with no issue or resistance. You don’t have to have multiple appointments or nag them and waste NHS time - they just do their job. Honestly deserve some praise. Receptionists are always helpful too. The people working here deserve praise with all the pressure they’re under. Thanks for all your help in the past and future.

Was met with lovely lady in reception. Nurse was very nice and polite. Maybe we just need to be more positive and smile more when speaking to people. Lots of negative reviews

Waited out side from 7.20 so I could get appointment for husband saw nurse at 8.15 gave him a prescription was still waiting for it to be signed off at 14.30 rang twice - was told it would be some time today still waiting
