I completed the askmygp form at 8am on a Monday morning for my daughter. I was called shortly after and was offered an appointment for 10am the same day. The appointments were running on time and we were seen and dealt with thoroughly and quickly. Great service, thank you so much 🙂

The Ask My GP service is such a convenient way to request an appointment. I have always found my requests are prioritised within a very reasonable timeframe depending on what the issue is. If I have to contact the surgery, I’m met with helpfulness and genuine compassion.
I have been so fortunate to remain under the care of the same GP Dr Colson for some time. She is wonderfully personable, really takes the time to listen and always recommends treatments tailored to my needs. She’s been such a help with a number of things.
I couldn’t recommend the surgery more.

The two stars are for the wonderful GPs and handful of good/ compassionate receptionists. The low rating however is for the handful of truly rude, dismissive, abrupt, gatekeeping receptionists who genuinely believe they have the audacity to turn away patients with chronic pain, refuse to allow you to request continuity of care with long established GPS who have been conducting investigations and are still investigating your symptoms. I was genuinely told in no uncertain terms to either call NHS 111 OR GO TO A&E. I Asked this individual, as I've asked her 'kin' if she could clarify her request that I go to everywhere but there and she reiterated it. Luckily, after calling back a few moments later after realising she hadn't actually told me anything about what I was actually tested for, I got through to a wonderful receptionist who actually takes pride in her job, cares about her patients, and takes pride in herself. I have no idea why this place insists on keeping the few terrible receptionists employed. Sadly, I've had countless experiences like this here. I want to thank the hard working and kind receptionists, nurses, and GPs who work there. Please deal with the others. I've been coming to this surgery since I was a baby, it NEVER used to be like this. God help those who are easily intimidated or frail!

Really pleased with the GPs here so far. Dr. Cox in particular has been extremely helpful and proactive which made for a nice change from our previous GPs.

There are some lovely receptionists who are also very helpful but equally, some not so helpful receptionists. We're relatively new to the practice and weren't clued up on the AskMyGP service which they urge you to use (sometimes) and there doesn't seem to be a consistent approach to booking appointments. I've twice now been met with completely unwarranted attitudes for not knowing how the system works yet no one has bothered to explain it. Receptionists here should really try to be more understanding. There are several reviews here that highlight issues with AskMyGP. I dread to imagine having to navigate this as an elderly or vulnerable person with very little digital knowledge.

I'd love to leave 5 stars but unfortunately, aforementioned rude receptionists have brought the average down for the practice.

Thank you to the staff here who are compassionate and who clearly do care about their patients. Again, can't stress enough how helpful Dr. Cox has been. My family and I are so grateful for his recent help.

Absolutely useless. They tell you to use their online service, then turn it off by 11am most days. You then phone in, and get fobbed off with "oh we're at capacity, phone back tomorrow" which is REALLY helpful when you urgently need anti-sickness tablets (that you've had before) because you can't even keep water down. I'm stuck with this practice because of where I live unfortunately, otherwise I would change in a heartbeat. Individual doctors are brilliant, but everyone else is dismissive and unhelpful.

Really lovely and helpful receptionists. Actually treat you like human beings, (which is more than our previous experience at another practice in Highbridge). Really felt as though they cared. Has made us feel a lot more positive towards GP practices.

Unfortunately we've had a few admin issues with this surgery. A couple of years ago they forgot twice to send details for a referral which led to a very long delay for us. Again in the last couple of weeks another referral should have been sent and again the doctor has not sent it! Luckily I chased it up early this time due to our past experience. So frustrating and disappointing!
