Seen Dr Salam with my mum today who was great, ran on time and very efficient. Didn’t feel rushed and was thorough. We were able to get a same day appointment without difficulty. Despite the other poor reviews this is an outstanding GP practice with excellent access and I am grateful to have my mum cared for here.

A very buzy practice.
I love the fact that if you need a doctors apointment urgently you are always given one.
However bad experiences with misplaced paper work and failure with the referral system is a minus.
The in the practice pharmacist is a blessing.

I spoke with a receptionist named Andrew, who provided exceptional customer service. He was highly professional, prompt, and efficient in answering my questions. His assistance was greatly appreciated.

I am extremely disappointed with the service of this GP. My 80 year old grandfather was given false information regarding his test results. He received the wrong antibiotics treatment twice, which resulted in his infection not being cleared. For this to happen twice is unacceptable. We should be able to trust our GP to give us the correct medication, so this is extremely disappointing and unacceptable.

If the doctor is running late, why don't the practice call and tell us? We wait for 20-25 minutes and know of it only when we ask the receptionist. If we were 20/30 minutes late our appointment would be cancelled isn't it? Be considerate of patients time too please!

I went online to schedule a smear test, and they asked me to come in today. I get into the practice, and I wait; I'm called, and the lady who is supposed to perform the smear test claims I'm not entitled to one until September.

Immediately, I asked why I wasn't told about this at the time of making the appointment. Her response “The reception staff are not privy to that information”.

Horrified, I insisted on the smear test, to which she replied that she would give me an STD swab?! If I'm honest, at that point, I couldn't even believe what I was hearing; I said I'm not here for that. The nurse responded by saying we have to rule everything out. Bearing in mind, I've never had an STD or STI, and I've been with my partner for six years.
This was a level of disrespect that I couldn't imagine I would encounter in a GP practice. I proceeded to ask the receptionist to speak to the practice manager, and her response after a further wait time of 10 minutes was that he was currently in training. I've left the practice as of today.

This is not my first heinous incident; last year, they lost 2 of my tests and a blood test that seemed to have disappeared into the realms of hell.
If your life depends on coming to this practice, don't bother. It's a poor excuse for a GP. I am putting a formal complaint into practice.
