Went to the Whitworth minor injury unit with a calf injury. They were brilliant from start to finish. The receptionist was friendly though it was late in the day. I was seen by the nursing practitioner Melodie who was amazing, very kind and reassuring over my injury. I was thoroughly examined and x-rayed by a very friendly and helpful young nurse. My x-rays were viewed and discussed with me and my mind put at rest. I can only give them my thanks and commendation. We are so lucky to have the Whitworth hospital in Matlock. Keep up the good work. Very much appreciated. Ian

Attended on 6th October after attempting to give myself a manicure with a circular saw. Had to wait only an hour to be seen (much better than any other hospital).
I was treated by Fiona Askew, who was very efficient and had a very caring and sympathetic nature. She is a credit to the Whitworth hospital and to the NHS.

I had an Ultrasound here and the Radiologist/or Sonographer and nurse were so friendly and polite they put me at ease straight away. As it was a regular ultrasound and an internal ultrasound I was quite nervous but they were so kind and kept me chatting and having a laugh which made the experience so much better. Thank you!

I visited the Minor Injury Unit here after badly burning my hand. I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist and quickly seen to by the incredibly friendly nurse Cathy.

Although I was in extreme pain, Cathy was so reassuring, and worked quickly to clean and dress my wounds.

A lot of bad things are said about the NHS, but my experience was second to none and I am so grateful that I was able to be seen so quickly!
