I want to express my sincere gratitude to the endoscopy team who looked after me today:Dr Ben, Marcelo Blessing and Jennifer who took such a good care of me from start to finish. The team was professional, kind, and made me feel at ease throughout the procedure. Their reassuring and compassionate approach turned what could have been a stressful experience into a very positive one. Thank you for your outstanding care and I wish all hospital personnel would be like you ❤️

Just found some bubble meeting areas for the hospital, nice for guest to bring the family member patients down for a nice catch up. Users could take care of them a little better. And the flowers could do with so.e patient caring

This is my local hospital, and I have noticed it has improved a lot in the last year or so. Reasonable waiting times the last 2 times I have had to be treated in A&E. On top of that, I have to praise the Imaging department staff. Very gentle, compassionate and always smiling. Also, I have been given appointments for scans and fracture clinic within a very reasonable time frame. Lets hope our NHS stays always public.

I recently visited the Children's Emergency Department at Whittington Hospital, and my experience was extremely disappointing and appalling. Despite arriving with a child in significant discomfort, we were forced to wait for an unacceptable seven hours before being seen. This delay is not only frustrating but also raises serious concerns about the department's efficiency and prioritization of care for young patients.

During the wait, there was a lack of communication from the staff. No one provided updates about the wait times or the reason for the delays. When I approached the reception desk to ask for information, I was met with a dismissive attitude, which added to the stress of an already difficult situation.

When we were finally seen, the medical staff seemed rushed and gave minimal explanations about the diagnosis and treatment plan. She was called out in the middle of an assessment and she just walked away. This lack of thoroughness, compassion, respect made me question whether my child was receiving the best possible care and it is not the first time.

Overall, our visit to Whittington Hospital Children's ED was incredibly disappointing. Waiting for seven hours with a sick child is unacceptable, and the lack of empathy and communication from the staff made the experience even worse and this is not the first time.

In 2022, I underwent surgery at Whittington Hospital, and it was an appalling experience. What should have been a straightforward 30-minute procedure turned into over 3 hours in the operating theater due to a mistake caused by an incompetent doctor. This error not only prolonged the surgery unnecessarily but also left me feeling anxious and unsafe about the care I was receiving.

The lack of accountability and explanation afterward was equally frustrating. I was not given a clear reason for the extended time or any meaningful apology, which only added to my distress only heard about the error when the nurses on duty where busy discussing it and making comments about the doctors error.

This experience was unacceptable, and it raises serious concerns about the competence and training of the surgical team. I hope the hospital takes steps to ensure that no other patient has to go through such a distressing ordeal and strongly urge the hospital management to address these issues, improve their triage system, and train their staff to provide better care and support to families during stressful times. Giving you star is only because I can't give zero but you do not deserve any star at all.

The experience at this hospital was appalling. The emergency main entrance smelled like urine, and the entire facility felt unsanitary and neglected. It was dirty and horrible—more like a run-down metro station than a hospital. At the reception, I saw dirty, used masks lying around. The floors were filthy and smelled bad, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in months. I can’t believe this is even considered a hospital. Completely unacceptable for a place that’s supposed to prioritize health and hygiene.

Came by ambulance with suspected stroke, before seeing anyone was asked to go to the waiting area for walk ins. Waited for an hour in the crowded and overly heated waiting area and decided to leave. Went to UCH and they provided me with the care I needed in a timely manner.
I gave birth 3 times in Whittington and I vouched for this hospital for years, unfortunately I feel the opposite way now.
I felt dismissed unsupported unimportant.

On the whole we're glad to have the Whittington as our local hospital with the caveat that like the rest of the NHS they are operating under pressure. So there aren't quite enough staff or quite enough beds to go round and you can end up waiting for hours.

BUT the staff themselves are in general kind, competent and professional. We unfortunately have recent experience of everything from A&E to Critical Care with surgery along the way. This was not an easy journey.

While things didn't always proceed quite as quickly as we would have liked the medical care was excellent, particularly at the more intensive end of the spectrum. Everyone took the time to answer our questions and make sure that we understood the situation. This made a difficult time easier and allowed us to feel reassured that there was a good reason for every intervention.

I still don't want to spend any more time in a hospital than absolutely necessary but if it is necessary then I have no qualms about using The Whittington Hospital again.
