Staff are so lovely but I honestly can't believe the care we've had in just under a year. It's scary how wrong a drs can get it! Postpartum check up we were worried about anemia again due to symtpoms so i was meant to have bloods done but they just never bothered I was told after my smear that I don't need contraception because I'm breastfeeding so won't get pregnant - wrong! I asked for a new medication for my 4 year old because she'd been given 12+ by pharmacy and 111 told us absolutely not after she was unwell off half the dose only to get a text off the reception staff with sloppy spelling/grammar telling us she's allowed to take "21+" meds because the main ingredient is the same as her prescription.. nope!!! Shes not allowed!! 111 and out of hours wouldnt have been so worried about her after taking some and adamant we bin it and complain if it was fine! It wouldnt say 12+ and containt things like ethanol if it was fine!! I didnt ask if she could have it anyway, i told you she couldnt, explained the situation and asked for different medication because she was meant to take her prescription daily and needed an appropriate alternative. And to top it off, despite asking to check on the referral twice, my 4 year old has been waiting 9 months for an allergy testing referral for a severe peanut allergy THAT THEY NEVER SENT!!!! They were meant to send the referal after her admission to a&e following a bad reaction 9 months ago and didnt even read the letter let alone refer her. Oh and as a teeny tiny cherry on the cake.. I've requested a prescription twice online for my steroid ointment and haven't heard anything back so am stuck with in pain with my skin cracking.
The staff are really so lovely and we get appointments easily, I'm never one to complain really but it's just absolutely beyond me at this point.. they really need to do better! How is it my sister in law has raved about this place but this is what we've had? My daughter couldve been seriously unwell as a nice understatement because of their negligence and misinformation. I cant rely on this surgery at all really and it's actually scary!!

Since moving to the area over a year ago. I've been once after signing up. My partner a couple more times. We've only had positive and efficient experiences.

Everyone we've met have been professional and kind. Best practice I've been to.

The Actual Medical staff at Western Avenue M/c are excellent 2nd to non.. sadly the same can not be said about the Administration crew, accepting the over inflated sense of their own importance (a trait shared by most M/centre office staff country wide)

The level of this ego is only matched by their ineptitude

Just signed up at this practice after moving into the area.

Now I can't say too much about the medical side yet but the registration process was easy enough. Had a couple of problems with the form but that was more my fault due to poor memory but the staff were able to help me complete it.

The Centre is conveniently located and looks very clean and well maintained, the staff were also friendly and helpful.

It will take some time to complete the registration and get on their books but that is the same everywhere these days due to the way the government and upper echelon of the NHS have incorrectly handled the whole "pandemic" so well done to the staff here for keeping it all together 👏

The Physiotherapist has cancelled appointments with me twice now on the day of tha appointment. Another two weeks of pain to look forward too now, excellent 👍

Terrible Drs surgery, can't even process someone's prescription, Multiple occasions it's happend and you approach the desk to unfortunately less than happy to help staff very condescending! With all due respect if you actually did your job and process a simple request patents wouldn't be dropping like flies and leaving similar reviews! 2.9 rating should've known better!

Doctor Ojeda is great, but staff at the reception is highly unprofessional and arrogant. 3 weeks im waiting for the dose update on my repeated persription that i need to take daily.It was changed by my gyno and i had 3 phone calls to the hospital which confirmed each time that is visible in system. Reply I got " call 111 for emergency medication" .also been given false times to contact manager in regards of the complaint that i want put in. RIDICULOUS!
