“Change to a different GP practice” Best advice my wife gave me. Been with this surgery for many years. Incompetent moody reception. Incompetent moody disrespectful GP’s. Best advice I can give anyone. Just change your GP practice.

I decided to move from this GP and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Not only for having uncooperative receptionist. I requested a report with a record for my health and it has been 4 weeks now though they promised after my second call to send it within 72 hours! Waiting time is horrible never been able to manage my plans because it can take up to 40 minutes of delay. My child was having a chest infection and the receptionist who knows better in medicine refused to give us an appointment though we called at 8 am in the morning and let us go for the walk in spending 6 hours of wait!

I've been a patient at Westpoint Medical for about 5 years, having moved into the area. I haven't really needed to see my GP until recently, following a cancer diagnosis. As a former GP practice manager, I understand exactly how practices operate and Westpoint seems very well run, organised, and efficient. In my experience, I have never had an issue when calling the practice - there has never been a long wait for my call to be answered and the reception staff I have dealt with have been lovely; really polite, professional & very helpful. I've quite often needed same-day access, be it for an impromptu prescription or needing to speak with a doctor, and a quick chat with reception has always resulted in my request being accommodated. My consults with the GPs have been mostly positive so far. I would recommend Westpoint Medical based on my experience to date.

Rude and incompetent reception staff, the actual nurses and doctors are lovely but the reception staff really need to re-evaluate their lives if their struggling at being a receptionist. I called at the start of december for my full medical records i was told i would recieve it within 28 days, i hadn't received it 40 days later so i rang them to see what the delay could be, the very rude receptionist told me i would recieve within 7 days its been 14 days and still nothing. Really needs closing down or re staffing from ground up.

I have to say all the staff at this practice has always been helpful always been able to get through to the practice, i have never had any issues to get an appointment always able to request the same clinician all the time. Matt Johnson in particular has always taken good care of my health and always an ear to listen very approachable hence why i always see him.
I’m one of their regular px’s at the practice.. always able request for repeat prescriptions with no issues. I’ve been with this practice for over 17years and in all honestly it’s the best practice in Manchester. Thank you to the whole team at West Point medical centre 👍🏼👍🏼
