Visited a friend who has been at the QE for some time and then moved to Moseley Hall for a couple of days then to Willow House at West Heath Hospital for rehab. The ward and staff were very pleasant and helpful. We think that her rehab will progress positively of the next few weeks and hopefully she'll be going home before long 🙂

My dad was admitted to ward 14 from heartlands hospital. The nurses and the care assistants involved in his care was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately dad got ill and was transferred to Moseley Hall hospital because they haven't got a over night doctor on call. Thank you to all the staff you are fantastic

My Dad recently spent almost a month in the Willow ward.
The staff were EXCELLENT.
Always cheerful and willing to offer advice and information when asked.
They were all superb.
The hospital itself is spotlessly clean.
Well done to all.....you deserve all the praise you get.

A member of my family is currently in this home and has been for a a couple of months.
Some staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble but then are other members of staff that have no compassion to the resident or to the family member.
It is very important that staff realize that a families loved one is in the unit and they should be careful how they talk about that person as i have had to make a complaint in regards to the way we have been spoken to and also my family member.
I do not think that enough is done with the residents and they seem to just be put in the day area and no activities take place or one to one chats with the resident.
I find that a lot o the time the staff are huddles together talking and eating and are not concerned about what is going on.
We have had issues with dirty laundary being sent home with soiled pads in and also lost clothing which is very annoying.
The home is kept very clean and the meals for the residents seem to be healthy and of a good variety.
I feel it is very important for all staff to think about how we feel as family as some of the attitudes stink compared to others

After reading the poor ratings that other people had given West Heath Hospital, I was aprehensive about what we would find when we went to visit a close relative who is recovering from an operation on her hip.
I can't comment on some of the complaints made by other people reviewing this place, but in my opinion the staff were kind and friendly, the ward was spotless and cheerful, and by all accounts the food was excellent.

An absolute disgrace of a hospital, my grandad was checked into willow ward, who were on arrival rude and uncaring of my nans need to use a toilet even going as far to tell her there were no visitor toilets (my nan is a kidney cancer sufferer so was very uncomfortable and distressed not using the toilet). I visited my grandad at willow ward yesterday 6.7.17 and on my arrival was 28 degrees, i arrived at 2pm and left at 4pm durin this time (we were in the garden area) not one staff member came to check on my grandad or ask if he needed tolieting or a drink of water in the heat in fact i had to go and get a drink for him and ask a relative to bring water with her as none was available for my ill nan. There is a lack of caring nature, and each time i have visited random patients have asked me to ask for a nurse as they have been waiting for the toliet. My grandad has a high risk of falls and is unsteady on his feet and i have observed him being left unaided and unattended in the toliet while the staff member takes a stroll up the corridor ( he was only taken to the toliet at all because i put him in a wheelchair and took him to a staff member) so then i took over anyway to assist with his tolieting so may as well have taken him myself. There was a lack of documentation about bruising on my grandads body and when questioned about this the paper work appeared from nowhere. My grandad also has parkinsons and needs medication at specific times each day or begins to shake the medication is not given at the same times as they run late constantly, and when i questioned this it was laughed off by staff and i was told they would be back on track the next day!!!! This is not good enough and i would give 0 stars but it wont let me post without putting at least one star

IS THERE ANYBODY WILLING TO PICK UPTHE PHONE. Today, 16th March 2017 I tried to ring the Willow Ward, No body could be bothered to answer. I asked switchboard to put me through to Patient Liaison (sic) again no one could be bothered to answer. Care includes answering the phone. Overpaid and non caring.
