What a fantastic minor injury went there without a appointment. I fell over and hurt my arm and shoulder.
They booked me in, and had a x-ray came out with a sling all within 2 hours.
So friendly there and helpful.

I was scared on the ward of the staff. Highclere Ward was terrifying, agresive, rude staff. A diabetic friend needed emergency treatment at another hospital due to the missmanagement of his condition by nurses at this hospital.

On latest visits - for a shoulder injury and x-ray there was hardly any wait time. The hospital is clean, staff friendly and helpful and evidently efficient!

My partner was twice given the wrong medicine within a period of 3 days (medicine that was crucial to her ability to move her body) whilst staying on the Highclere Ward for 7 nights. There was also a physical assault of her by a nurse forcing tablets into her mouth. God knows what else they were getting wrong whilst I wasn't visiting. Very, very arrogant and threatening staff and Ward Manager who think they are God's gift to nursing. A more dangerous and unhappy hospital atmosphere/environment I have never seen. A 13 page complaint has been sent to the hospital trust and the Police have been made aware of the assault. Protect your loved ones from errors by this hospital CHECK EVERYTHING.

Update on 23.04.24. I've just had an Ambulance arrive to help my partner who fell. On arrival I said to the Ambulance man 'under no conditions will my partner be taken to the WBCH' to my surprise he replied 'I agree it's a terrible hospital'.

We had to wait almost 2 months for a routine blood test. When we arrived at reception we were advised that my test appointment was already " out of time" and the lab might refuse to process the results. This was despite the fact that when we made appointments the GP request was fully valid so computer said "yes"! But the 2 month delay took us over the threshold! Crazy computerised system that fails patients! We offered to leave or call our GP surgery but after some discussion the blood tests went ahead! Highly frustrating & stressful experience!

I am suspected ovarian cancer patient and had MRI scan. I have been told that results will be ready in one or two weeks time. After two weeks later I call them the report hasn't been written. More than a week past I am still waiting a result. It's very stressful. I hear nothing or updates since March!
