Shockingly inept reception staff. Called to book an appointment and listened to really unhelpful recorded message for 15 minutes on hold, only to be told they wouldn't book me an appointment and I had to complete an online form. Nothing in the call messaging telling you that. In fact it even states to continue to hold to book an appointment. No apology from the receptionist. Why do they employ her if a form does her job and she's too dense to change the hold message?

I emailed the surgery over the weekend requesting support for a medical issue.
My GP Dr Shaikh arranged for the practice pharmacist Nureen Ali to telephone me on the Tuesday morning.
Nureen was attentive to my needs and responsive to the need for a treatment program. She explained my options and welcomed my input.
I was texted a code to present to any pharmacy to be able to get the medication that I needed.
An excellent service.

I joined this practice recently, and at first I didn't have high expectations after reading some of the reviews.
So far all the staff I have interacted with have been pleasant and helpful. The doctors and nurses here very competent too. This is the best surgery I have used so far, highly recommend to anyone in the catchment area.

I see people commenting about lack of availability for appointments, however this is not an issue exclusive to this surgery. To those people complaining, I challenge you to find a surgery in the UK that is not experiencing the same pressures.

Can't get appointments. I'm self diagnosing now... using Google for my medical issues, or just leaving it. The last time I managed to get a face to face appointment, I saw a locum, she was using Google to diagnose my condition anyway. Zero confidence at WMC, the days of having that comfort of having a GP are over, although fortunately I never needed a doctor much anyway and burden the NHS, until now. Kept on receiving annoying text messages stating when they are closed for training, which I stopped !

Have been ringing up every morning now for past 6days! Getting told no appointments or a voice message saying we have now reached our appointment capacity for the day and it cuts you off! What an absolute joke! It was 8:15 for God sake!! No w9nder why people go to A&E!!

Shockingly poor GP surgery. They focus on avoiding seeing patients, they don’t understand how the NHS system works (or doesn’t work). They will tell you to call 111, 111 will tell you to call you GP. They seem comfortable with the patients being in pain (they prioritise systems over patient care). Definitely get the impression they just don’t care. Amusingly, they close very regularly for staff training, yet their staff seem to have their hands tied behind their back at best, and at worst they’re incompetent. Hate leaving reviews like this, but I’ve run out of road and basically they are blocking access to treatment for me despite me being told by my hospital that I need to see my GP quickly - incredibly frustrating - AVOID

Unlike some of the highly questionable reviews here I understand that any issues with lack of available appointments or busy phone lines is no fault of the staff whatsoever. They are doing the best they can in an environment made consistently difficult by unreasonable people.

Everyone I have dealt with at Wendover Health Centre has been pleasant and as helpful as they can. Happy to have it as my local doctors.
