My wife Ann has been resident for 3 years at Verwood House Care Home. She has advanced dementia. I cannot compliment the carers and management enough for the levels of attention and love shown to her. They "really do care". That was evident from day one. My wife could not be in safer hands, that gives me such peace of mind.

I received a warm welcome at Verwood, complete with a lovely smile and a comforting cup of coffee. The home is set within beautiful grounds, and the garden is truly a delight—peaceful and clearly well cared for. During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Emilia, who shared with me how she thoughtfully plans and works alongside residents to support their wellbeing and engagement through a range of activities. It was inspiring to see the dedication and care put into creating a positive and enriching environment for everyone.

I visit lots of Care homes as an entertainer, and it's always a genuine pleasure to visit Verwood House. It's a really smart, modern building with a beautiful garden and forest backdrop. The team are all fantastic and super friendly and organise loads of fun activities for the residents!

My visit as an Entertainer to Verwood House was a real pleasure. The staff were really friendly and helpful and supplied me with refreshments throughout my visit. A wonderful home to play at and lovely happy residents. I look forward to returning in the new year.

I visited Verwood House as a photographer The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and wonderfully caring with all the residents who they looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves. It is a well run beautiful home and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend if I hear of anyone in need of full time care.

My dad was in Verwood for his 4 week assessment. During this time his care was a bit hit and miss. Maria was wonderful, others, less so. Some days, he had 2 shirts on, other days a shirt over his jumper, some odd and thoughtless combinations-not the end of the world, but not the standards which my dad would have set for himself. There were times when I had to use the call bell a number of times to get some help for him to take him to the toilet. After 3 weeks he had a fall which necessitated a visit to A & E. When it was considered that he was well enough to return to Verwood, I rang to let them know that he was on his way. The phone was commandeered by Rachelle, the manager of Verwood when she heard who we were taking about and I was informed in no uncertain terms that he was NOT coming back, that Verwood House could now not accommodate his needs despite being told previously that they could give him a permanent home if we wished. How quickly the whole attitude changed. I was told to arrange to have his clothes picked up. My family were really hurt by the lightning fast change in attitude. My father died 3 days later with pneumonia and a broken neck. I am placing no blame on Verwood House for the fall, things happen, but a phone call to see how he was would have cost very little and meant so much. I know Verwood House is a business but it really felt like that. The edges need softening.
