I must say that my stepmother had every confidence in the careers, and looked forward to seeing them each day. Verina and Fiona were always will to talk over any issues that arose with Maureen. We're able to work together without any problem at all, and they have said if they I need any help they would still be at the end of the phone. Excellent, plan speaking no-nonsense care. Finding good, reliable care provision for a loved one is not easy, especially if due to dementia they have become extremely difficult and trying. Verina Daly where able to provide care where others had not, they were always on time and living a long way away I was able to relax that necessary care was provided.
The carers were well trained and tolerant but firm so able to deal with this situation and unpredictable behaviours, they also identified things that needed doing and kept an eye out for problems. They made agreed regular visits over the day which also deterred aggressive doorstep callers which had also been a big problem.
Verina Daly had been recommended for situations where the person needing care did not necessarily welcome it, even though they badly needed supervision to stay at home. Communication was good and price I felt very fair, it was all clearly laid out. Totally recommended.

What can we say? Verina and her team were there for us every step of the way helping us keep our dear Mum at home, as she peacefully left this world on 14 Feb, 2023. Each of them had huge hearts and sensible heads and shared themselves so kindly with us and our mum. I think she felt completely loved, and so did we, her daughters. Highly recommended.

I just wanted to send a note on behalf of my brothers and sister to sincerely all the girls (and occasional boys!) at Verina Daly Care for all the great care they provided to Mum during her illness right the way to her passing away. It has been a real eye-opener to see how expert, professional, and sensitive they all were in the way they looked after Mum. It is clearly a real vocation for what they do. Many of your lovely carers regularly went above and beyond in how they looked after Mum, from something as apparently simple as sharing a cheery chat and talking to her about their news, through to listening carefully to Mums wishes and doing their very best to make sure she felt like her voice was heard and respect was given to her wishes. You achieved all of that wonderfully, and for that we are all immensely grateful to you all. It's worth saying too that the NHS and Rosemary Foundation nurses were all complimentary about the care you were all providing and told us Mum was in good hands, which she was.

It was lovely for us to hear Mum often laughing with your carers and sharing a joke, it helped Mum keep her spirits up and helped us all feel better, even for a moment. She was able to spend her last days at home and surrounded by the love of her children all the way to the end. She even hung on for your carers to pop in and give her one last wash and brush up before she finally let go, and her peaceful passing at home was greatly helped by you all.

All the staff that call are polite, courteous and respectful and most importantly well trained. What is also important to me is that Verina is always available to discuss anything of importance..

Thank you for your care and professionalism during a period of rapid decline in my father’s health. He died before we could find any real stability in his care plan but at no stage did VDC try and rush us or push us into a specific path. They were all patient, kind and supportive.
