Emptied a car load of stuff on 01/11/2024. The staff were all polite, professional, helpful and NOT SEXIST! It is the best experience I have had there. Thank you very much to all the staff working that morning.

The staff member at the entrance was rude. We told him we had booked a slot to which he replied "Well I hope so" but then never proceeded to check our booking. Then, he sniggered at the fact that we had travelled "all the way to recycle an iron" (even though we were passing the area anyway) and mocked the fact that we care for the environment. Really unnecessary comments, they should hire staff with better customer service skills.

“There are plenty of empty spaces I can see them”

“I just want to give away a few pillows to the reuse area and it will be quick.”
“No!”
“Okay I will go but there is a car after me and I cannot reverse. Where should I go?”
“Go inside and leave”
“Can I just stop for 1 min to drop off the pillows while inside?”
“NO!!”

I cannot believe some of my council tax goes to these people.

Fast service, but you have to book appointments before attending

Visited today 27th May, used this site many times over the years without a problem and never had to book before. Queued for 1 hour, park up and some young member of staff came over stopping me from using the service. He was incredibly rude and aggressive. Then proceeds to get more staff with increasing aggression towards me.
I wouldn’t have a problem booking if it was made clear upon entry, which it isn’t and again never booked in the past and never had an issue like this. This is wasting peoples time and a reason why people fly tip.

Staff like that should be educated on how to politely deal with a situation rather than be vile and aggressive. Highly unprofessional and I’ll be putting a complaint to Veolia head office.

What is going on today? Usually very good, but today the skips are full and people are being told to put any sort of rubbish in with garden waste.......unacceptable! At it's not even 10 am. Goodness knows what the rest of the day will look like.

I just want to say a massive Thank you to the wonderful gentleman named Richard Lawrence ( hope I spelt right) who helped me with my heavy loads here today. Richard was friendly and ever so kind and came to my rescue. Thank you for much for what you do and I really appreciate it your help today.

Now you can get a timed slot this is a much better experience. I got pole position (08:00). Cones removed 07:58. Barrier raised 08:00. No queuing. All done and departed by 08:10. Great.

I know it’s my fault as I forgot my phone with the confirmation email. 2 guys sat on the computer, no hello just can I get your email.
So I was told I couldn’t put my waste despite only 2 cars in (out of 10-15 spots).
Great that our recycling bins are not collected and that you are rejected access despite no one in the recycling centre… (which was the case the last time I went as well). Hopefully, some other working guys are ok but not the one I had today.

Generally friendly and helpful staff. Sometimes a bit of a queue but probably because so many people are attending during the bin strikes. Slightly difficult to manoeuvre the car around the exit lane due to barriers.

Was previously very supportive of the Industrial action. Came in evening on the wrong day when it was quiet and I was politely told I couldn't use the facility and would have to come back on the correct day. Multiple available car park bays to use at the time.

Went to Lifford Lane today with garden refuge the place is so organised very impressed and a joy to visit. A staff member called Luke was exceptionally helpful. He definitely needs to be made a permanent member of staff as he helped us empty the bags into the container. Thank you to Luke a credit to the organisation. ☺️

Cant come in without an appointment. Couldnt find the slots, talked to a chap and he said i can come without an appointment, but the next week i was told i cant, even though i only had some card/clothes
