A doctor was supposed to call me today between 8.30am and 1pm, I took the time off work . I got a phone call that rang for 2 rings by the time I could answer the phone was put down .. I tried all day to call back but couldn’t get threw .. when I finally did the reception was extremely rude and said I had to wait another week to get a call back .. I’m left still unwell that needs my prescription but after waiting 2 weeks I now have to wait another week .. so upset disappointment and angry . The worst service iv ever had from a receptionist she was so rude to me and spoke down to me .. a very angry rude abrupt women , which should never be allowed to work in a surgery talking to unwell people .. if you can avoid this surgery please do

I have always had a really positive experience with this surgery. They generally answer their phones within a decent time, the receptionists aren't rude and the GPs I have seen have always been very helpful and have gone the extra mile. I have called for an emergency appointment for my daughter on a few occasions and have always been seen the same day. I have been registered at some really terrible surgeries in the past and have heard some horror stories from others living in different areas, so feel this one needs some recognition as one of the good ones!

Will be making a formal complaint against the Medical Receptionist I spoke to this morning. Instantly dismissive and advising me "we have no appointments available I may be able to see you next week" having not even confirmed who I was or why I was calling in the first instance (I am aware some practices have software that has a form for caller ID but the staff still need to confirm who the caller is). When advised I was ringing back because told to do so and another GP advised I need to see someone for bloods to be taken as something may be torn/broken in one of my limbs the reply was a sigh from the Medical Receptionist and her asking for my date of birth...again not asking my name, address, etc; to confirm who I was or the nature of the issue. I was advised that a GP would then ring back "Tomorrow Morning" between 1 and 6..."so tomorrow evening then you mean?" Being my reply. I know the calls are recorded and time stamped so will be making a formal complaint about this staff member, if this had been an elderly person confused or unsure what to ask, she would have had them off the phone without ascertaining the nature of their call when it could have been something life threatening.

Worst surgery ever. Whenever you call them about anything. They said it's not out job. You are a primary care service. You should be providing primary care. If I need health declaration for work who's I'm gonna ask. I am going to ask you? But doctors including the manager
refused to sign a form for me.It has been 7 months I was waiting for them. I have been there about 20 time and rang them 100 times about the same thing. First they were saying we r going to do it. Then finally they refused to sign. It's your job to provide me these details.

Stef you are amazing! Even though it’s time for you to go home on a Friday night you helped me so much and found a solution for me..I am so grateful
I’m actually quite shocked with the low star rate..All I can say is it’s been probably over 15 years and we have never had a bad experience from reception to doctors to nurses and I hear so many horror stories about other surgeries we will be forever grateful! Feeling blessed...Thankyou all!

I have had 2 minor procedures at Valley view surgery in the last 3 weeks and an unexpected poor year of health.
I have received fantastic support and care, I know appointments are limited but we are still very fortunate to have such a good medical team on our doorstep, bearing in mind the amount of new people that has moved in to Goffs Oak, they are still doing such a great job.
We are very lucky to have such a caring team of GPs and their staff on our doorstep.
This is a shrinking profession so let’s all support and appreciate them.
Please keep up the great work you are doing at Valley view surgery.

A special mention for Nurse Turner who is so friendly and kind when doing baby vaccinations. She didn’t rush us out and spent time explaining everything. I’ve seen/spoken to a couple of GPs too and they’ve been very helpful, one of them picking up something in my bloods that no other GP has bothered to in years.

Great surgery! The reception/secretaries staff are always very helpful and friendly. The doctors and nurses are extremely professional and have always made me feel at ease with any condition ! The surgery is always neat, tidy and clean. Parking is easy and the Boots chemist is a couple of minutes walk away for any prescriptions.
