Excellent service! Have been there twice in the past couple of years for injuries not needing A & E. I was seen within 30 minutes, and my son today was seen in under 10 minutes. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Went to A&E today with a hand/wrist injury of my little angel. Was triaged within 10 minutes, then seen by a great Nurse and then by a Doctor. Send off to x-ray, was greeted by a lovely radiologist.
Had a little wait, was then explained to in detail about her injury, then plastered by Doctor. All of the staff were lovely, caring and very efficient. Thank you for the great care my daughter received.

Fractured my knee once. My mum drove me here after picking me up from school, for starters the wheelchair my mum used from the hospital took forever to get through the main door. Someone else ended up having to drag the wheelchair in. They ended up giving me crutches, which they didn't set to the correct length even tho they knew my height, the x-rays were rushed so I had to go to Exeter a few days later to have them redone, and to top it all off they didn't give me a leg brace or anything. When I went to Exeter a few days later they set them to the correct height and gave me a brace to put on my leg. The wait times at RDNE in Exeter are a lot longer than Tivy but I still prefer Exeter.

They also misdiagnosed me, said that it was just soft tissue damage but that was just because it was hard to tell because of the bleeding around the joint, I didn't find out it was fractured until 3 weeks later after I had a CT scan. Still 1 star tho.

Very attentive and professional care I had yesterday (10 September 2024) about a possible infection I thought I had. Everything well organised from reception onwards through triage, the wait of about 1.5 hours was well worth it and at least it was in a light, modern and sunny area within the modern hospital

My husband was in a lot of pain with a possible trapped nerve in his back/hip. Call with our local surgery's physiotherapist and doctor did not resolve the problem and he was in much pain. Daniel was lovely - a really thorough examination and not under pressure to get rid of us. Unfortunately he was unable to provide additional pain management but it was good and reassuring to have a physical examination rather than discussion over the phone.

Thank you Tiverton Urgent Treatment Centre. Very friendly and professional receptionist, both in the phone and face to face. We travelled from Barnstaple this evening as we knew our NDDH A&E were under pressure and I only needed antibiotics. Very calm environment at Tiverton & I was seen incredibly quickly by two, yet again, very friendly and professional members of the team, was given the antibiotics I needed along with advice for ongoing care and we were home again within 2 hours of leaving. Thank you so much. Very impressive. You all do a wonderful job.

Would highly recommend that the Doctor we saw on Monday 19/07/21 afternoon needs to be refreshed in his training. He sent my daughter and I home feeling as though we had wasted his time ruling out anything such as appendicitis etc with a tummy bug that she'd had for three days. Turns out her bloods showed an infection and her appendix had ruptured!! Thankfully she has had an operation and is recovering well. Please if you are not happy with the diagnosis, follow your instincts as you know your child and keep going until you are listened to. This could've sadly ended in a different way.
