Went here for a life threatening allergic reaction and they did NOTHING! If I could give zero stars I would. The care I received here was absolutely appalling and the staff were completely rude and negligent. I was sent here after going to urgent care after having an allergic reaction and self administering an epi-pen. Unbeknownst to me the intake person wrote "sore throat" on my paperwork when I was having full on anaphylaxis an hour prior. This unacceptable error that the intake person made resulted in me not being seen for over 6 hours which is completely unacceptable when being faced with a life threatening emergency. I also have a tachycardia disorder which makes it incredibly dangerous for me to not be monitored after using an epi-pen. The doctor who did finally see me was incredibly rude. I was never asked about any medical history or allergies. I had told him that in addition to my allergy concerns I was having excruciating ear pain and that I have a history of eustachian tube dysfunction and had multiple ear surgeries as a child. The doctor blatantly ignored this and diagnosed me with an ear infection WITHOUT even looking at my ears. He completely brushed over all my allergy concerns and then left after speaking to me for all of about two minutes. When the nurse came to give me antibiotics and painkillers I explained to her how I thought it was unacceptable how none of my medical history or issues were addressed and I was just diagnosed with an ear infection. The nurse then went to speak to the doctor. The doctor came back in to protest and was completely irritated and offended that I would possibly ask him to look at my ears before diagnosing me with an ear infection. He then looked in my ear for all of about 2 seconds and sarcastically proceeded to say "like I said earlier, it's an ear infection". I then went home at 4 in the morning. By some miracle I managed to get an ENT follow up with a specialist at Wellington hospital. As it turns out I did not have an ear infection. The ENT specialist confirmed that throat swelling from the allergic reaction had caused my eustachian tube to swell resulting in an ear drum rupture which was causing the pain. No surprise that I was misdiagnosed considering the front desk person cannot decipher or distinguish the word anaphylaxis from "sore throat". It is also shocking that someone with a medical degree can't possibly comprehend that you cannot accurately diagnose a patient with an infection by guessing. Had UCL hospital actually been competent and had I been treated right away for this potentially life threatening emergency with IV epinephrine and a steroid treatment for the swelling, I could have avoided a ruptured eardrum. Avoid this hospital at all costs.

Today I went to this hospital with my pregnant wife, with parvovirus results and we were amazed how good and safe we felt there(straight away when we get there, they put us to the separate waiting room, to make sure that nobody else will be at risk to catch it, really professional way of handling things).
Big Thanks to Natalie who was doing ultrasound scan, she gently and carefully explained us what might be the risk and treatment and also kindly assured us that baby is perfectly fine right now😁 and Big Thank You to Margaret(midwife) for her help and support with all our questions and making us feel less stressed and anxious in that situation😁 hospital is really clean and directions are quite easy to follow

To the doctor in A and E who lied about what I came to A and E for. Yes I was told by a nurse to put something completely different down played it and left me to leave with no treatment. I have been going to this hospital for years never have I ever been treated like this . I would say the doctors are amazing but not on this occasion treating patients like this causes bad reviews part of your job is to be caring and care for all . It's not just look roll your eyes and get people out .

I had oral surgery as an outpatient and this was the smoothest hospital experience I’ve ever had. The doctors, nurses and anaesthetists were all kind and helpful and I felt safe and well-informed throughout the process. Unfortunately I don’t remember the names of everyone I encountered but a huge thank you to Timothy Lloyd’s team and to all the nurses, especially Lala.

I’ve just visited A&E and really was impressed in a very positive way! Usually I’ve been avoiding national medical services, but this time I needed to attend it, because I hurt my foot. There were quite a lot of people waiting but queue passed very quickly- for the initial check with the nurse, then consultation with the doctor, after for X-ray (in my case). Thank you very much for your great service! Especially to Dr Maryrose, to the nurse, x-ray doctor and receptionist (who was very helpful).

I visited urgent care on the morning of the 28th of November 2024 with a hand injury. I was seen within two hours despite the winter pressures, and more importantly got excellent care from Advanced Ambulance technician Kat. She was exceptionally professional and personable and incredibly thorough. Thank you for the extra time and care to ensure there was no ligament damage, and X-ray to check I hadn’t chipped any bones. I was very well looked after and my hand is healing well- thank you!

Worst hospital ever, I attended their early pregnancy unit, the waiting time was 6 hours to be seen.
Many pregnant women waiting with just a water machine in sight, some were from the night before in A&E and then moved to this department, and been waiting for over 12 hours!!!
The doctor examined me and then had to call another doctor to check her findings, and both were talking how my scan shows that I am going to have a miscarriage. They were both so cold and emotionless, like I wasn’t in the room, I was in pain and all they said is to go home and expect bleeding to start anytime, if nothing happens, to come back in a weeks time. My pregnancy stopped 5 weeks before this scan, and they still sent me home with a burning like pain.
10 days later, nothing happened and I had to go privately for D&C surgery. There was no way I would go back and wait for that long!!!
NHS staff in this hospital make you feel they are doing you a favour by treating you, they don’t act like it is their job to do so. They are pushing people away.
Funny enough, their early pregnancy unit has a poster asking to contact some staff member to give feedback of the experience in return for £20!!! It is like offering some sort of compensation for keeping people waiting. How appalling!!!

I attended the emergency department having received a serious cut accidentally on my arm. I was really impressed with this Hospital. From the time I entered the door I was treated with respect and received excellent care especially from the fabulous doctor who but 17 stitches in my arm. He did it with excellent efficiency and was extremely supportive to me during the procedure. I highly recommend this Emergency Department
