If I could rate them 0 stars I would. After paying £80 to book in for an appointment at 1.15pm, I was finally seen at 2.20pm. By that point, the waiting room was crammed with expect mothers on the verge of wetting themselves because some of them had been waiting 3 hours for their appointments. Naturally, with it being a weekday, I’d expected to be in and out of my 15 minute appointment by 1.45pm - which was taking in during my lunch break at work. After waiting over an hour, I was taken into my scan when unfortunately the baby was the wrong way round to scan, which of course I know is not their fault. However, they then recommended that I go and walk around and come back in 15 mins. I asked the ladies whether getting scanned again in 15 minutes would even be possible, as I could see the waiting room was yet again FULL of other women who had been waiting hours for their scans. To which she replied, it would be more like an hour. That would have left me away from work for going on 3 hours. I went to reception to rebook for another day, to which they could not give me an appointment for next week after 5 (as I was not prepared to potentially spend yet another 3 hours unpaid from work at lunch) and my partner is away the week after… by which point I would be 32 weeks pregnant and would likely not be able to see anything anyway by that point. In that case, I asked for a refund so I could go elsewhere and rebook, at that point I was told that they would not refund me. Or, 30 weeks pregnant, £80 down with no appointment rebooked, no apology, I had literally paid £80 for the privilege of losing 2/3 hours of work. Absolutely disgusted.

Sonographer very proffessional patient, respectful and understanding.
The only thing I wish they had was a page on their website introducing their team—it would be reassuring for visitors to know more about who they’re seeing that's all but a lovely place. Thanks

Went there as I was having pains which were causing me concern, sonography was not empathetic and didn’t alleviate my concerns, ended up spending the best part of £100 for nothing. It’s probably fine if you’re pregnant and and want to see your baby before/ in between an NHS scan and it’s cheaper to have the pregnancy scan than a scan to alleviate concerns about pains you’re having overall left in pain and out of pocket.

What a fantastic place.

I have been having chronic abdominal pain for just over a month, with 2 ambulance call outs and then trips to A&E. Possible suspect- gallbladder issues/ gallstones. After being given an appointment by one hospital , to then have it cancelled on the same day I was due to go, I was in lombo. A friend suggested going private and that is when I found Ultrasound Care. I booked online, was called within a few hours to confirm everything, sent a text message with confirmation and any necessary info needed. My appointment was 3 days later, on a Sunday. That's amazing if your stuck at work during the week. Affordable pricing, great care and service in general, the lovely ladies at reception give you a warm welcome too. The sonographer was professional and clear throughout the scan. He explained some of the findings and my report was given to me within 10 minutes and a disc with my ultrasound, I can now give this to my GP and hopefully move things along. Going Private does not have to cost the earth if you look around, and read reviews and the peace of mind I have been given, well, its priceless. Thank you to Alison for being the chaperone to, she was lovely. 100% recommended.

My sister had a scan and was left disappointed. The receptionist was lovely, kind, welcoming and friendly. The Chaperone Alison was also very caring, reassuring and hospitable.

However, the sonographer didn't even say hello to her when she entered the room to have her scan. She wasn't listening to my sisters needs and what she had to say. She lacked people skills. She wasn't friendly and she didn't have sympathy for her condition.

My sister will not be coming back here again for any future scans!

Service seems ok but just to share my experience from our visit today.

Sonographer mentioned as we needed a gynae scan rather than an abdominal, we could either rearrange or pay for both. However another staff member came in (for some reason) and said we could not rearrange or get a refund.

So not really providing a service - just making money. I mean it isn't costly, but still feel ripped off when sonographer was willing to help but staff just looking at making more money. Ensure you book the correct scan otherwise they will just force you to pay again if you attend and find out you paid for wrong one.

Genetic susceptibility to an abdominal aortic aneurysm and possible symptoms led me to ask my doctor for a scan. 10 months later I'm still waiting so I decided to take the plunge and get a private scan. For less than the cost of a big night out I got reassurance from this company. But more than that, everything was smooth and professional and the sonographer looked at all the other organs in the area and found a couple of little things that it would be worth talking to my doctor about.

In my experience this is a first class company and I thoroughly recommend them.
