We joined Tots Play in January 2024 when my baby was just over 7 weeks old 👶🏼
I remember visiting the website on a few occasions debating whether or not to book onto the trial sessions.
The usual worries went through my head before booking- what if baby screams all the way through, what if he has a poonami, what if he's sick, what if he needs a feed. Let me tell you, all of the above happened, but at no point did I feel judged or uncomfortable. What you will find is a bunch of parents all in the same boat, all happy to support eachother, laughing through the loudest farts & distracting baby during the screams 💙
During my trial Nikkie told me about the Development Group that she runs at Tots Play, so I decided to join on. We learnt baby sign, baby yoga, baby massage as well as singing and sensory play. My husband and I have consistently used baby sign with Izaiah & he can quite easily communicate with us through this - it absolutely amazes me that such small babies really do absorb so much information, I've seen this firsthand with my little one ❤️
We frequently used the baby massage and yoga during time of constipation and tummy ache, and to help aid relaxation before bedtime🌙
After the Development Group had ended, we consistently attended Discovery Tots until it was our time to move up to Social Tots, it's great that the groups change once your little one is ready for that next step. I found that so many babygroups cater to the 'newborn to crawling stage', but hardly any from crawling/walking etc, unlike Tots Play which goes from tiny baby to early infancy 🐵
I enjoy how the classes are partly structured, as well as partly free play too 🧸🧩 The sing along time during the sessions is one of my favourite parts & I guarantee your little one will soon be clapping along, tapping their knee & bobbing away sooner than you're emotionally ready 🎼
I'm so so glad that I signed up to Tots Play. Without this group, I'm pretty sure Izaiah wouldn't be as social as he is & I often wonder how we'd even communicate 📣
Nikkie is absolutely dedicated to the children, you can quite clearly see that & that's so important. It's not unusual for them to all gather around her or go and sit on her knee at some point during the sing song or signing 🥰
I've met so many lovely mums (and dads and grandparents!!) at Tots Play, some who I now consider to be friends. It's a group where everyone talks to eachother, there's no cliqueyness 🧡
So, my advice would be, book onto the groups and watch how your baby develops and thrives, it's fascinating to see. There's no need to be anxious or scared, you'll be surrounded by people who have a mutual understanding, you'll share stories and tips. You'll talk about the most stressful moments, the lack of sleep, the weetabix welded to babies hair, the teething and, of course, all of the amazing times that outweigh the eyebags and the need for a spa day 😴

We love Tots Play! After attending a taster session for Baby Tranquil, I quickly booked onto both Baby Tranquil and Baby Development. Each session is filled with warmth and love and such a welcoming environment is created. I feel instantly happy and ease when we arrive and I leave with so many new ideas of things I can do with my baby. I am looking forward to continuing these classes and attending new ones as my baby grows!

We have taken part in the baby development course and loved it! I have recently moved to the area knowing no one and have found friends that I see every week in and out of class. we have enjoyed it so much we have carried on and now doing discovery tots! Little Willow loves seeing all her friends and now has a better social calender than I ever have done
