Unfortunately this company treated me poorly and unprofessionally even when I made clear my inentions to leave which was really disappointing but I decided to take the high road, rise above the injustice that I felt and maintain a professional exit even though they made it difficult for me and I felt the professionalism I displayed was not reciprocated by the office.
Having said that I feel I need to warn people.
The Divide between the staff And the all female management office is as big as the Grand Canyon.
At first everything is great but then your realise what all the staff tell you is true, this is a company that won't help you with any kind of work-life balance and has little to no empathy For anybodys personal circumstances and can be quite rude at times.
The office/management are constantly 100 committed To encouraging people to put often petty reports in about other people. ( this happens a lot ) so they can they call you in for various types of meetings ( having worked all my life I've never heard of so many different types of meeting's I think they've created these from an A.I. generator or something )
Thus the office have an awful reputation amongst staff that they seem blissfully unaware off. ( I never once heard any staff member say anything positive about the office )
While this sort of negativity and constant reporting by the same petty people over and over should and would be shut down by any efficient management in any company this one unfortunately does not do so and Instead encourages it.
This results in a culture Of people constantly being Reported and pulled into the office, often without any prior warnings or reasons, till they get there.
While whistleblowing has its place in carework, petty and false and mismanaged representation of this causes a lot of problems because as you can imagine, a lot of stuff is unsubstantiated and just badly and unprofessionally handled.
Ultimately The ethos of creating a company that is constantly knocking people down rather than building people up causes an unstable and fustrating working environment, a lack of morale, lots of unhappy staff ( I was aware of lots being off for mental health reasons ) a lot of negative reviews and a lot of good workers and service users leaving the company which clearly struggles to hold onto it's staff and services.
They have no clue about how to effectively manage their staff positavely.
This company has an overall 2 star rating and that's generous,
In closing, my advice for anyone considering care work is just simply read all the reviews for this company, it's all there to see, pay attention to the more detailed reviews ( that tend to be negative but give a more accurate reflection ) rather than the generic ones, and make your own decision.
There might be a few generic 5 star reviews these are probably by the idiots reporting people or management from the office,
but look at the true negative reviews on google and Indeed even by former Senior staff, that says it all.
The out of hours and some senior support workers somehow hold it together but the management ultimately destroy any good they do by constantly Interfering and struggling to provide the tools to do the job.
Lots of reviews say they don't know how to run a care company and I would concur with this, most of the staff and service users are not happy and personally I would not recommend this company to anyone to either work in or utilise the services in any capacity.
Oh and they also don't do references as 'it's not company policy' you will get a standard 'this person worked for us if your lucky and that's it, don't expect any support or endorsement when you finally see the light and try to break free.
