5 stars in my humble opinion, isn't enough recognition for the work done here.

With our never ending encroachment of the countryside for yet more unwanted housing, it as can imagine, comes at a very high price.

Sadly this price is paid for by nature herself, from bird strikes, to badger and hedge hog car hits from peoples ignorance to rural roads, to foxes that are forced to come into towns to search for food.

This hospital is an sanctuary for all of those injured animals, the work that the staff, volunteers, donation givers, the vets and the owners do, is incredible.

It's their passion that helps those that can't help themselves, speak for those of whom can't and educate the little people that visit on how important animals are.

Do visit this center, there are cold, hot drinks, food stuffs, ample seating, play areas for children, informative and educational talks and videos, interactive chats with staff and animals the list goes on...

What a wonderful place, I'm a frequent dropper offer of injured animals and was a great chance to see what goes on behind the closed doors

Best wishes and thanks to all that help here
Some pics of the animals and some of the mouse and vole dropped off recently

This place is awesome to visit, especially the little ones. The play area is very nice with lots of wheeled toys to play with. They also have craft activities on the day. The whole place was very clean. Beautiful place to picnic 😊
Reasonable price, too. £19 for a family ticket. It's definitely a must go place. Happy children.

It was lovely to visit the centre. An opportunity to see the work that is done, at the same time as providing income for the hospital to continue their great work. It was disappointing to hear the farmer next door shooting wildlife, whilst we were there enjoying the surroundings and sunshine. It would be great to know more of the stories behind the animals that are there. It brings great comfort to know this amazing place exists, and that there are so many of us that love and want to protect the wildlife from harm and suffering. By visiting or donating you are helping them to continue their great work.

Great to see the animal hospital. My son really enjoyed the visit and we will definitely pop back again. They are happy to show you the hedgehogs if you ask. The tortoise in the same enclosure gets quite territorial as you can see in the video.

It needs to be remembered that whilst this does have a visitor centre and facilities, it's mainly a wildlife hospital, not a zoo or wildlife park, so comparing Tiggywinkles to them as other reviews I've read is silly. And as their prime target is to help wildlife recover sufficiently to release them back into the wild, the animals you'll be able to see depends on what is currently there although they do have some residents, generally those that have injuries that would make it hard for them to survive back in the wild.
It is however a lovely place to visit and definitely a worthy cause to support, with a lovely little play area, lots of outdoor seating, some under cover and a superb, modern set of loos.

Incredible place full of all our beautiful natural wildlife. Very special indeed; both the animals and all of the passionate staff that care for them. A great opportunity to get close to nature and and share with children the nature we don't often get to see anymore.
