The surgery is ok, I've never met a doctor or nurse that isn't friendly and helpful.
One criticism is they don't seem to have any data protection awareness. There's been a number of occasions when a doctor or nurse has left me on my own in the room while they go away to discuss my condition. They always leave their computers unlocked and logged in, which is a big no no.

They seem to have no knowledge of previous documentation when I was in palliative care and everything what entails from that. They do not care about people like myself with a complex disability due to a progressive illness. On top of this the Secretaries blocked me after I sent them an email because of changing my title on the waiting room board ftom Professor to Miss. They wouldn't make this mistake if I was a man!! I feel discriminated against by this surgery.

Recently moved to this GP and I am glad that I did. I had a lovely Dr/GP who has been very kind and supportive in such a short space of time and the receptionist are really kind which I feel is hard to find these days!

Quite simply the worst surgery I have ever had the misfortune to deal with, starting with the reception rottweilers and their superior attitude, phones that go unanswered, and doctors who cannot be seen without a fight.

Excellent service from Thornbrook. New online system easy to use doesn't require an account, passwords etc. Text offering f2f apt same day. Surgery busy as it should be (unlike Whaley) . Things have really improved here, lots of Doctors on duty and reception staff who are helpful .

Lots of attitude from the reception team. I was expecting a call from the GP with no specified time. Even though I was waiting by my phone, things like daily life and work meant I missed them. I don't appreciate them making out like it's my fault. If you want your patients to answer then specify a time and respect others time.

I had a brilliant experience with Thornbrook surgery. I just called as I have an infection and I was told by the secretary that I would receive a call by the practitioner nurse. In about 5 minutes I received a call and was asked if I could be seen within the next 40 minutes. Unfortunately I was unable to do so as I was in work and was then asked about booking time the following day or was advised about the closest out of hours to visit and who I should speak to. Brilliant service and very caring. Well done.

Absolutely shocking place. You have to beg and plead for a blood test. So I'm not going there ever again for tests. Only seen one doctor there ever. They ignore Stepping Hill's instructions about your problems and simply do not bother. I'd rather pay 100 quid for a private blood test than run the gauntlet with their rude receptionists who seem to think they are better than any doctor. As I say shocking place. If I had run my business like they run their practice I would have been bankrupt in the first month.
