Absolutely disgusting service. It’s impossible to get through to book an appointment. Tried a different option and the lady who answered was incredibly rude and put me into the queue for appointments. I could hear that she’d then picked up the receiver and put the phone straight back down. I called back and spoke with again and she was again very rude and aggressive and put the phone down again. How anyone gets an appointment I’ve no idea. Will have to go to A&E and waste their time instead.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! We only moved to the area recently and when I came online to get the number to phone, I was a bit concerned about the terrible reviews, but I am honestly blown away with the service at this practice! The Dr went above any expectations with the amount of tests he arranged to check my health and even put extra ones on to give me peace of mind (that he wasn’t sure I needed but I’d asked for). The turn around for test results is super fast and the staff are wonderful. I saw Nurse Caren today for follow up blood tests and she was amazing too. Thought I’d write a review for people to see that they shouldn’t take notice of the ones that are negative!!!

Totally useless. Impossible to get through to get an appointment due to lines being busy, if you do and use the callback they ring you for 2 seconds and cut the call off before you can answer. If you use Patches they arrange to call you and then don't. The Thornton and Denholme practice used to be so good. I've been in agony for days, need pain relief, and simply can't get to speak to a doctor. I would give 1 star but the receptionist in Denholme is really nice and helpful when you actually get to go there.

The problems start when you try to contact the surgery. It's pretty much impossible to get threw. Obviously this would suggest that the surgery is extreamly bussy. But every time I visit there is 4 people at a push in the waiting area. The doctors are pretty good in fact they can diognose your problem over the phone without any physical or visual examination. 3 days in I managed to speak to a doctor who prescribed me the medication I originally ask a very unhelpful secretary for at the start of my exhausting medical journey. Someone at management level needs to have a long hard think on how to deal with ill tax payers needs more efficently....✌

Negligent ANPs working above their realm of knowledge and not seeking second opinions, and extremely rude receptionist! Wouldn’t get us a second opinion which is a patients right and then tried to offer medical advice when she has no medical knowledge whatsoever! Needs looking into by the ombudsman, someone will die due to their negligence, and i fear even that wouldn’t ignite a change. The older female receptionist with the false nails and million rings, you should be ashamed of how you talk to patients who are concerned and need help.

Not sure what's going on, was contacted by the insurance to get medical report to read before sending off. Surgery was supposed to ring me, a week later said I hadn't been, no one rang. Went down to check read through, two errors, no record of me going in for emergency gallbladder removal or genetic illnesses. Which I mentioned at previous visits. They were amending report but as yet no ones phone tried today to speak to reception no answer put phone down after ringing over 5minutes.
