This was my first time visiting Willow Tree Practice NHS Stonehouse, and I couldn’t have had a better experience. Dr. Catherine Desmond was amazing—kind, attentive, and truly caring. She made me feel comfortable and listened carefully to everything I had to say.

The lady at reception was like an angel—so friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Their warmth and professionalism made my first visit easy and reassuring.

I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for excellent care and a welcoming atmosphere.

Slipshod, no attention to basic functions, to say nothing about attention to detail. Proper follow up to a request almost never happens. Response to urgent prescription renewals results in the surgery dropping the ball 4 out of 5 times.
Non-medical staff typically stonewalls the patients. Doctors have no sense of urgency regarding patient care, which seems to be of lower priority than bureaucratic processes. Appointments get changed with no notice to patient.

Altogether our experience has been a series of frustrations and rebuffed requests.

I have been witness to the decline of this GP surgery for 10 years now. My latest interaction was stunningly passive aggressive and I am in no doubt this would have left a less assertive patient feeling that there wasn’t an available clinical pathway to them. The logic loop the non-clinical staff member got themselves into resulted in me being asked what they should do next. The charge for completing a referral for my private health is nothing more than a money grab (although I am sure a thinly veiled substantiation has been crafted). Combine this odd call with important information being missed on my blood tests and I am afraid I had to write this poor review. This surgery gives no thought to patient interaction - in circumstances that are already anxiety inducing for the patient.

Amazing service from Reception/Doctor. Needed to consult a Dr about an ear infection on August Bank Holiday Friday morning. Called in to reception at 08:00 and received a call with an appointment for 08:45 within 10 mins, 5 mins later got a call from the Dr and he said prescription would be available at Pharmacy in 1 hr. Fabulous service, and all delivered with a smile and friendly conversation, as always. How good is that!!!

Reception staff are always really lovely, but I’ve been told on multiple occasions that there are either no appointments available or that the wait for appointments is 4-6 weeks. As a result I’ve moved to an alternative GP surgery and have already received a huge difference in the responsiveness of this surgery and ability to book appointments for 2 weeks time.

I left in tears from the Regent Street practice on Monday which is now under the same practice group as willow tree/high street. I don't think I've ever had such a bad health care experience from both Dr and support staff. Despite concerns about my weight loss no measurements were taken, despite crying constantly and being unable to sit due to my back I was advised to buy crutches from amazon or go to a and e. After working in GP services myself for many years I'm so saddened. Despite funding cuts and low staffing it really doesn't cost anything to simply be kind, I'd hate to think the impact a visit like this would have on someone with poor mental health.

Dr gave me a note so reception would book a follow up for me, reception refused and I just burst into tears but they looked at me like I was such a hassle I just left. It's no wonder everyone ends up at a and e. Deeply saddened by this experience. Room for allot more kindness at this practice.

I can’t praise this practice enough. The receptionists are helpful, calm and really friendly. Every GP I’ve seen is efficient but caring and kind. Repeat prescriptions are processed incredibly quickly. A brilliantly run surgery with kind, patient and efficient staff.
