After spending 4 nights in SSU where the nurses did their best against poor processes and understaffing I moved to the Wells Suite which is a private ward in the Pembury NHS hospital. What a difference. It was comfortable, the food was excellent, the staff were great. Within 1/2 a day I started to feel so much better in myself.

Could anything be improved? Well yes:
1. T V stuck on BBC1 - hardly the most important thing in the world
2. Took 7 hours to discharge me. Mainly because the drugs had to come from the pharmacy which is where we re-enter the world of the NHS so I would put a private pharmacy on the ward or a dedicated person in the pharmacy and this is fixed!

Neither of these improvements detracted from the excellent care provided and, whilst I would avoid the NHS side of the hospital, would highly recommed The Wells Suite.
