My partner and I did one of the courses in Oxfordshire with Jenni, and we found it informative, supportive, and empowering. I thought it was much less ideological than another popular course, with a more open acceptance of different women's needs and values, and a wealth of information to support every type of birth. There was also loads of really useful advice and exercises to prepare us for the postnatal period. Highly recommended!

The village midwife ante natal course run by Laura Collins in Melton was fantastic. The pre course communication was great and we were all clear on what to bring and what to expect.

The course content was thorough and bias free, and we were encouraged to learn about, thoroughly understand and advocate for ourselves for the birth that we want, whilst also making other plans so that we are not taken by surprise if our birth does not 'go to plan'.

Laura was very friendly and encouraged questions and interaction, this made the course feel really welcoming, non-judgemental and we all had a good laugh too.

The nice thing about this course was that it wasn't just focused on baby stuff (feeding, nappies etc), there was also a large focus on the well-being and needs of mum and dad, pre and post natally.

Laura made it clear that following on from the course she is available to answer questions via whatsapp for as long as we need her for, which is very reassuring. Having access to a midwife in this way is a huge benefit, especially when pre natal appointments have quite a long time between them.

I feel much more prepared for everything after doing this course and there is a huge amount of resources and reading materials that Laura has sign posted us to, which I'll be working my way through link by link as the countdown commences.

We attended the course in Wallingford led by Jenni. We learned so much and feel a lot more confident about our baby boy's impending arrival. Jenni went over a wide variety of options and interventions, both during and after birth, and was keen to give different perspectives throughout without judgement. A must for anyone looking for some guidance that's delivered in a very friendly and welcoming environment.

We took part in the antenatal course and couldn't praise it more highly. If you are trying to choose between NCT and this, it's a no brainer. Compared to couples we know who have done NCT the content is miles ahead. Sophie is approachable, warm and knowledgeable. 🩷

My partner and I took part in Taunton Village midwife and have enjoyed every part of it. Thank you to Kate for guiding us through this amazing adventure. We have learned so much and are now feeling ready and excited for our due date. Kate is passionate in what she does and it is a joy to hear her transfer her knowledge and experience to us new parents.

The village Midwife is also a great way to meet new parents and sharing thoughts on pregnancy. I would recommend to any new parent an antenatal class with Kate. Thank you again 🙂

As second time parents we are so glad that we chose The Village Midwife antenatal course with Aimee in Leighton Buzzard. Aimee is so welcoming and I felt at ease as soon as I walked into the first session to find everyone else already there happily chatting over tea and biscuits. Each session was informative and interactive and the small group meant that we all connected quickly. The four sessions flew by and I missed meeting up every Saturday once they were over!

We are so glad we found The Village Midwife! It was one of the best decisions we made when I was pregnant to join the Antenatal course. We also went on to do the hypnobirthing and postnatal sessions with Sophie and all 3 were fantastic help and still continue to be. We would recommend these in a heartbeat to anyone expecting!
