Lovely restaurant. Unpretentious, relaxed with quality food, an interesting menu, all beautifully cooked. The only problem was the bread with the Wild Boar Terrine was burnt which has knocked a star off. We'll definitely go back.

I have visited this venue before, my latest being today, 28th of February, a group of 5 who had just completed an 8+ mile walk, tired hungry and thirsty. A cracking place serving great unfussy food in a sociable and informal setting. Despite being extremely busy the service was prompt and unhurried. Recommended.

Lovely steak in an old railway ticket room, brilliantly turned into a classy gastro restaurant. I had the Mexica steak which was smothered in Chilli Con Carne and jalapenos. Beautifully cooked and tasty to eat, with onion rings and salad too. Cheers we will be back 👍😊

We stopped off here Friday for lunch.
An absolutely delightful place.
We chose 2 mains from the set menu £15 for 2.

All Mains and Desserts are very reasonably priced.
Very good service too.

Lovely spacious pub with plenty of seating outside.

What was also great here there was no music in the restaurant area, so we could converse really well without having to compete with background music, just the happy hubbub sound of voices and laughter.
We will certainly be returning 👍!

This was my first visit, and it won't be my last. Very pleasant establishment with a great selection of dishes, all of which are generous portions, cooked to perfection.
What really pleased me was visiting somewhere that employs very hard working and friendly staff. This makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Came back here for our 3rd visit, lovely meal for 6 of us, food was nice & hot when brought to us. Service staff were very polite & friendly. The place itself is very clean & well looked after. Lots of people dining today, which is always a sign of a good place to eat & drink. Will definitely be going again.

Good food competitively priced, popular location. As it was formerly a station which is still in use you could go by train and enjoy a few drinks as well. Real Ale brewing on the premises
