I'm a complete beginner and was made to feel welcome! I was excited to dive in and take up their offer of a full years membership and I've been enjoying every training session since! I even had the opportunity to meet Frank Mir who did a training session with us for the grand opening!

Absolutely fantastic facility. After training at another venue previously I was welcomed into the snake pit by everyone. Very friendly and experienced coaches no matter what your ability level is. Great support from everyone and fun training sessions. Give it a try whether it's for fun or if you want to compete. No other MMA gym like it in the area.

A great place to train with very experienced and knowledgeable coaches. As an extreme introvert I usually avoid this kind of group interaction like the plague but I thought I would push myself and give it a try and I'm glad I did. Anyone thinking about giving it ago but doubts their fitness or confidence I would highly recommend giving it a try, you will have nothing but positive experiences and the skills you gain are well worth it.

I originally used to train at another MMA facility in Scunthorpe and was delighted to hear that AVT would be opening a gym in Scunthorpe too. After trying out a free trail session I quickly switched over to training with AVT as I was blown away with the quality of training they offered.

Rico & Jake (just two of the many specialist trainers there) are so friendly and made me feel welcome straight away. They catered for my level of ability in the sessions to make sure that I walked away having learned something from every training session. I can't say enough good things about the knowledge of the guys who put the sessions on and the people who run the gym!

Another one to one complete with Jake the snake?..

Highly recommend one to one's with the snake man he's very attentive and will cater to all abilities doesn't matter if your never done anything like this before or your looking to compete.

Very approachable and good guy to be around, the physical and mental benifits are unbelievable I always leave AVT on a high and you'd be surprised what you can learn/accomplish in an hour.

Already looking forward to the next session..?

I’ve recently been doing private 1 to 1 sessions with Jake “The Snake” Bingham. I’m completely new to martial arts and I was made to feel very welcome. The facility is top notch and the equipment is premium. Overall I would definitely recommend training here!

Great coaches great knowledge would 100% recommend, fitness, fighting ability, grappling everything can be found here i personally prefer the 1 to 1 sessions but either way your made to feel welcome and encouraged get your self down to the snake pit!
